- the present invention relates to a rearview system for vehicles, comprising a microcamera, its control unit, the corresponding monitor, and the microcamera housing, which is comprised of the assembly that forms an outer cowl with an opening for allow the focus of the microcamera lens, and an inner box communicated with said outer and open cowl in a preferred embodiment on the opposite side to it, to allow insertion of the microcamera.
- This assembly is finished off, in a preferred embodiment, by a cover that allows the closing of the inner box on the side opposite to the outer face and also the fixation of a glass in the closing of the indicated opening.

- the outer cowl (1) has an opening in which a glass (8) is placed that closes it, as can be seen specifically in Figures 1 and 2.
- said glass (8) will be heat-armored, that is, a insulating glass of the outside temperature and with a resistance to breakage superior to the normal unshielded crystals.
- guides (9), (9 ') are provided in the outer shield (1) between which a slot (10) into which the glass (8) is inserted.

- Said insulating material (5) can be molded into two parts that fill the space inside the assembly formed by the outer cowl (1) and the inner box (2), and closed by the glass (8) and the cover (3), inserting the microcamera (6) with its corresponding cable (7) in a gap provided for this purpose between said parts of insulating material (5) so that it adapts to the entire contour of the microcamera (6) and its cable (7), except the part corresponding to the objective, in order to allow the focus and the backward.
- the insulating material (5) thus molded is introduced into the interior space delimited by the assembly formed by the outer shield (1) and the inner box (2), before fixing the cover (3).
- other ways of inserting the insulating material (5) into said space for example, its injection therein) are also conceivable.
- the control unit (13) of the microcamera (6) which fulfills the functions of feeding the microcamera (6) and sending the signal generated by it to the monitor (21), preferably it will be inserted in a box (14), with conveniently sealed closure, leaving the space between the control unit (13) and the cables (7) and (15) and the internal faces of the box (14) , filled with an insulating material (5 7 ), which can also be of the same type as the insulating material (5) described above, and placed in a similar manner.

- This protection box (14) of the control unit (13) can be fastened by any conventional fixing means, and preferably by welding to the vehicle plate on the inside of the flap.
