Abstract

An adhesive envelope suitable for adhesion particularly to a package, and consisting of a pouch with a rear surface made from a sheet with an optionally adhesive front side, in which case it is protected by an adhesive backing in the form of a sheet or roll. An optionally transparent label with an adhesive back face is affixed to the front side of said rear surface after optionally depositing a document or a thin object thereon, so that said label contacts the rear surface by means of the adhesive. The adhesive properties of one adhesive area are neutralised by the presence of a portion of the protective release backing that covered the back face of the label before the backing was cut, whereby the combination of the adhesive label and the silicone-coated backing then forms a complex that is preferably provided in a strip. Such adhesive envelopes may advantageously be arranged on a rolled-up release backing.

Description

ADHESIVE ENVELOPE

The invention relates to an adhesive envelope intended to be fixed to a packaging or any technical or advertising medium, containing or possibly containing a document or any thin article.

We already know the use of transparent films, deposited on an adhesive support.

These types of pockets that can contain a document are certainly appreciated by users but require either a complete implementation using expensive equipment and bonding techniques by thermal welding, or ready-to-use envelopes that are fixed with a double-sided adhesive. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a pouch intended to be placed on a package by the end industrial user. This envelope will overcome the drawbacks mentioned above and will be implemented and filled with its content, either by a labeling or routing professional with a small investment in material, or by the industrial user who will close the l 'envelope after depositing the content on the bottom of the envelope.

According to the invention, the adhesive envelope intended to be glued in particular on a packaging, is in the form of a pouch, the rear face of which is composed of a sheet the back of which may be adhesive, being protected in this case , by a non-stick support in sheet or roll.

On the front of this rear face, after having possibly deposited on it a document or an object of small thickness, a possibly transparent label is adhered, adhesive on the back, which therefore comes into contact with the rear face thanks to the adhesive characterized by the fact that a sticky zone has been deprived of its adhesive power by the presence of a part of the protective non-stick support which covered the back of the label before a cutout of said support has been carried out; the whole adhesive label + silicone support representing at this time, a complex conditioned in particular in strip. According to an advantageous embodiment of the present invention, the sticky envelopes can be placed on a non-stick support presented in a reel.

The top 21 The bottom 20 comes from a complex strip 22 formed by a self-adhesive 18 protected by a non-stick silicone support 5. The top 21 comes from a complex strip 24 formed by a self-adhesive 1 protected by a non-stick silicone support 2. This top 21 can be opaque or transparent, depending on whether one wants to hide or let see the contents of the envelope. To form the top 21, the silicone protection 2 is first cut out according to a marked cutout marks 6 in FIGS. 1 and 2 and which delimits a part 3, then the self-adhesive part is cut out according to a cutout marked with reference 7 and which delimits part 1.

Part 1 is larger than part 3, so that when the top 21 is separated from the non-stick strip, its central part remains protected by the non-stick 3, while on its periphery 11, the self-adhesive part is exposed.

The top 21 is then applied to the bottom 20, it adheres to it around its periphery, and delimits in its central part, protected by the silicone support and with the bottom 20, a space that can contain a thin object or a liret.

The envelope is then finished with a cut marked mark 8 which cuts the top 21 and the bottom 20 at the same time, while sparing the anti-adhesive 5.

According to the variant of the invention, the silicone protection 3 of the adhesive 1 can be left on a part of the periphery of the part 21, so as to leave the envelope open on one, two or three ribs.

The envelope can then, if necessary, be closed after removing the silicone protection, once an object has been inserted therein.

The envelope can also be left open on a single rib so as to allow the object to be taken out and returned.

The compound envelope is intended to be separated from the silicone strip to be glued to any support, such as a can, cardboard, etc.

In another variant, the underside 20 is not self-adhesive.

• / In another variant, the non-stick part 3 is extended on at least one edge, by one or more tongues 12 intended to facilitate gripping.

This or these tabs can then be removed to uncover the adhesive and allow subsequent bonding of the edge of the envelope.

A method of automatic production of envelopes according to the invention will be described below.

First, self-adhesive pre-cut labels are produced with a cut-out of the silicone support, in order to form the tops 21 of the envelopes, as described above; that is to say that the tops 21 thus formed, once removed from their support, will retain a central part protected by one anti-adhesive and a peripheral part where the sticker will be exposed. These labels remain on the strip which forms the roll 24.

Then, the production is carried out in several stages marked from "A" to "G" in the figures.

Step "A": the complex strip intended to form the underside 20 of the envelope is taken from the roller 22. On its upper face, a mark 27 is printed, the automatic recognition of which makes it possible to trigger the following operations.

Step "B": the machine deposits a point of glue 28 on the upper part of the strip.

Step "C": the machine deposits a booklet or object 29 on the point of glue.

Step "D": the machine takes the upper part of the envelope from the strip of the roll 24 and deposits it on the booklet, in a position such that the non-stick protection 3 of the upper part 21 completely covers the booklet and that the exposed adhesive part is placed so as to extend beyond the booklet. The fall of the silicone support is evacuated on the roller 25.

Step "E": Pressure is exerted on the upper part 21 so as to apply it to the lower part 20, on which its periphery remains glued, there where the anti-adhesive has been removed.

Step "F": the outline of the envelope is cut along line 8. The fall is evacuated on a roller 26.

Step "G": the silicone strip on which the envelopes always adhere is wound on a roller 23, for storage before use. The invention finds its application in the field of packaging or advertising where it is often necessary to include an informative document or a thin object, using an industrial process of automatic depositing on the containers, in particular by the 'through a self-adhesive label presented on a reel.

The booklet label according to another variant of the invention, shown in section in FIG. 5 and seen from above in FIG. 6, consists mainly of: a lower part 31 coming from a complex strip 47 formed by a adhesive 34 provided with a silicone non-stick protection 35. an upper part 32 cut from a complex strip formed of an adhesive 36 provided with a silicone non-stick protection 37 an intermediate part 33, for example a booklet, enclosed in the envelope constituted by parts 31 and 32

For the manufacture of the label according to the invention, the part

31 remains in continuous band 47 until the end of the operations. On this continuous strip the booklet 33 is deposited. It is then covered by the part 32 from which the silicone adhesive protector has been removed totally, or only on the edge 38, on the binding side 40 of the booklet, and on the opposite edge 39, on the opening side of the booklet.

The non-stick protection can be left in place over the entire surface of part 32 in contact with the top of the booklet. Part 32 can be completely transparent to reveal the booklet.

A pressure being applied on the label, the part 32 sticks on the upper part of the part 31 and the booklet is enclosed between the part 31 and the part 32.

If you want waterproof protection of the booklet, you can glue either the whole part 32, or only the 4 edges of the part

32 on part 31.

To access the booklet, simply lift the edge 39 of part 32.

However, this operation risks permanently destroying the bonding of the edge 39 on the part 31.

However, most often the booklet must be consulted several times.

You must therefore have the possibility of closing the envelope.

An important characteristic of the invention makes it easy to open and close the envelope securely.

According to this characteristic, the lower part 31 is prepared as follows:

1 - a cutout 42 is practiced in the sheet 42 roughly parallel to the edge 43 of the booklet opposite the binding. This cut is located where the edge of the booklet will be, or slightly under the booklet.

- / 2 - in the non-stick protection 35, a cut is made along a line 46 approximately parallel to the edge of the label and located under the part which will be covered by the edge 39 of the part 32. This thus defines a surface 41 between line 46 and the edge of the label. This surface 41 can be continuous or closed with several discontinuous parts.

The label is then made by adding the parts

33 and 32 of 31.

Then it undergoes a cut to be brought to its final template along lines 48, parallel to the edge of the continuous strip and along lines 49, perpendicular to the previous ones.

If the labels are to be left in a strip for storing them in rolls, the cutouts 48 and 49 spare the support 35, which leaves the labels integral with the continuous strip.

To avoid weak points in the continuous strip, the shape of the surface 41 can be modified, for example by ending it with cut sides or rounded 50.

When sticking the label on a package, remove the non-stick protection 35 from below, while leaving the part 41 which neutralizes the adhesion of 34 at this point.

The label therefore adheres over its entire surface except at the location of the strip 41, which does not adhere and is easy to lift and take between the fingers.

By pulling it in the direction of arrow 45, the label is lifted and it begins to take off from the packaging. When takeoff arrives at cutout 42, the envelope opens, giving access to the booklet.

To make it easier to take off, on the surface 44 between the cutting line 42 and the non-stick strip 41, one can partially leave one non-stick 35 or one can partially deposit a non-stick at this point, when the 1st cutting operation 41/42 on the strip 47.

To close the envelope, if the adhesive of the strip 44 is no longer active enough, the silicone strip 41 is removed, revealing a virgin adhesive part.

Alternatively, the anti-adhesive 41 can be cut into several segments which can be removed one by one as the label is successively closed. There is thus a means of closing the label securely many times.

In a simplified variant of the invention, easier to implement, the part 32 consists of a simple strip of adhesive 36 which can be a transparent film, from which the anti-adhesive 37 will have been completely removed.

This strip is stuck on the outside page of the booklet as well as on its periphery, on part 34. The same cutouts 42,46,48 and

49 being made as before.

Once the label is stuck on a package, it is opened in the same way. The difference is that when you lift the part

32, the first sheet of the booklet attached to it accompanies it and the booklet opens. By way of nonlimiting example, a device will be described below, shown in FIG. 7, intended to manufacture labels according to the invention.

A reel 51 delivers a complex continuous strip 47, which may include the cutouts 42, 46 more possibly 48 and 49 indicated above, and which will form the part 31 of the labels. A series of reels 52 delivers strips 53 which successively deposit on the strip 47 the various sheets constituting the booklet 33. These sheets can for example be cut by a device 56. The scraps 54 of the strips 53 are recovered on reels 55.

The machine is set so that the booklet sheets stack exactly on top of each other.

These sheets have in one margin one or more holes which are in coincidence. A point of glue is deposited in these holes by a device not shown in FIG. 7 and serves as a binding for the booklet and for its attachment to the strip 47.

Then, a reel 57 delivers a film, for example transparent, adhesive, which is applied to the continuous strip 47 carrying the booklets. It forms part 32 of the label. A cutting device 58 completes the labels. The scraps 61 are recovered on a roller 59, and the finished labels arrive at 60.

In Figure 7, there is shown for clarity of the drawing, by separate lines, the falls 61 which come from 32 and 34. But in reality these falls are glued to each other.

The label according to the invention finds its application in the field of packaging or advertising or it is often necessary to include information on labels whose surface does not allow to contain them; and also when the said information must be consulted and kept several times in succession.

Claims

1- Composite envelope formed by a lower part 20 and an upper part 21 adhesive on the back, characterized in that a part of this adhesive back is neutralized by the presence of anti-adhesive

2- Envelope according to 1, characterized in that the said non-stick part has dimensions smaller than those of the upper part 21, so that at least part of the periphery of 21 has its adhesive exposed, and that -this sticks to the lower part 20.

3- Envelope according to 1 or 2, characterized in that the part 20 is self-adhesive so that the label can be stuck on a support.

4- Envelope according to 1 or 2 or 3, characterized in that the part 21 is transparent

5- Envelope according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that one non-stick which remains to protect the top 21 is extended by one or more tabs.

6- A method of manufacturing an envelope according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises the following steps:

Step "A" - the complex strip intended to form the underside 20 of the envelope is taken from the roller 22. On its upper face, a marker is printed, the automatic recognition of which makes it possible to trigger the following operations.

Step "B" - the machine deposits a point of glue on the upper part of the strip.

Step "C" - the machine deposits a booklet on the point of glue

Step "D" - the machine takes from the strip of the roller 24, the upper part of the envelope and deposits it on the booklet, in a position such that the non-stick protection 3 of the upper part 21 completely covers the booklet and that the exposed adhesive part is placed so as to extend beyond the booklet. The fall of the silicone support is evacuated on the roller 25.

Step "E" - pressure is exerted on the upper part

21, so as to apply it to the lower part 20, on which its periphery remains glued.

Step "F" - the outline of the envelope is cut along line 8. The fall is evacuated on a roller 22

Step "G" - the silicone band on which the envelopes always adhere is wound on a roller 23, for storage before use. 7- INFORMATIVE LABEL MAINLY CONSISTING OF:

- A lower part coming from a complex strip 47 formed of an adhesive 34 provided with a non-stick protection 35.

- An upper portion 32 adhesive on all or part of its face facing the strip 47.

- An intermediate part 33 such as a booklet, partially or totally enclosed in the envelope formed by the parts 31 and 32

Characterized by the fact that the adhesive sheet 34 of the upper part 31 has a cutout 42 roughly parallel to the edge 43 opposite to the binding 40 of the booklet, this cutout being located at the edge 43 of the booklet, or slightly below of the booklet, near its edge 43.

8- LABEL according to 7

Characterized with regard to a portion 41 of non-stick 35, which neutralizes the adhesion of 34 along the edge of the label, to facilitate its gripping.

9- LABEL according to 7 or 8

Characterized in that to facilitate the release of the edge of the envelope, the anti-adhesive 35 is partially left on a portion of 34, between the portion 41 and the cutout 42 or else a anti adhesive.
