Abstract

The invention concerns a circuit arrangement for a telecommunication switching system, in particular a telephone switching system, in a single or multi-level network comprising first switching systems of a first lower-order hierarchical level and optionally at least second switching systems of a second higher-order hierarchical level, it being possible to connect subscriber lines to the first switching systems. In a multi-level network the switching systems of a higher-order hierarchical level are each connected to at least two switching systems of the hierarchical level arranged therebelow. Associated with each switching system of the network is a memory in which data about the line location of all the network subscribers can be stored. Triggered by a message which designates the availability of a subscriber at any subscriber's station in the network at which the message is input, address data designating the line location of this subscriber's station are generated and registered in an associated memory row corresponding tothis subscriber. In a network having at least one further hierarchical level, data designating the switching system of the lower-order hierarchical level are generated and registered in a memory row corresponding to this subscriber, of the associated switching system of the further hierarchical level. The circuit arrangement, designed as an external computer, can be connected via at least one signalling interface module to the switching system, signalling data being exchanged with the switching system via this signalling interface module. Associated with the computer is the memory which comprises a first memory area which can store first data designating the presence of subscribers at any given moment, and a second memory area which stores second data designating the line location of the subscriber's station at which a predetermined subscriber can be reached at any given moment.
