Therefore, the owner can prevent physical and mental damages resulting from the loss of the important personal effects such as the wallet.

Description

WALLET WITH ALARM FUNCTION
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Field of the Invention
The present invention relates in general to a wallet with an alarm function, and more particularly to a wallet in which an alarm is generated under control of a radio controller to inform the owner of the present position of the wallet.
Description of the Prior Art Generally, when people are crowded on the streets and in the vehicles and public places, if you don't give attention to your wallet, you are liable to have it stolen. A lot of people who lose their wallets are damaged physically and mentally. There are usually various credit cards, cash and identification cards in the wallet. If you lost your wallet, you are going to be disadvantaged because there are a variety of crimes using credit cards and identification cards which have been stolen. Also, you feel uneasy about whether your wallet will be stolen again.
Further, as seen from the newspapers and television broadcasting, the techniques of crime become more intellectual and various as days go by. For this reason, if you lost your wallet, you cannot get it back.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
Therefore, the present invention has been made in view of the above problem, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a wallet with an alarm function in which an alarm generator is provided to generate an alarm under control of a radio controller, so that the owner can readily get back the wallet if it was lost or stolen.
In accordance with the present invention, the above and other objects can be accomplished by a provision of a wallet with an alarm function, comprising an alarm generator mounted to a desired position on the wallet, for generating an alarm in response to a call signal from a radio controller.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
The above and other objects, features and advantages of the present invention will be more clearly understood from the following detailed description taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, in which:
Fig. 1 is a perspective view illustrating the construction of a wallet with an alarm function in accordance with the present invention; Fig. 2 is a block diagram of an alarm generator in Fig. 1; and
Fig. 3 is a detailed circuit diagram of the alarm generator and a radio controller in Fig. 2.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
Fig. 1 is a perspective view illustrating the construction of a wallet with an alarm function in accordance with the present invention. As shown in this drawing, the wallet comprises an alarm generator 2 mounted to a desired position on the wallet. The alarm generator 2 is adapted to generate an alarm in response to a call signal transmitted from a radio controller 1, to inform the owner of the present position of the wallet.
Referring to Fig. 2, there is shown a block diagram of the alarm generator 2 in Fig. 1. As shown in this drawing, the alarm generator 2 includes a receiver 2a for receiving the call signal transmitted from the radio controller 1 and outputting a drive current, and a sound generator 2b for sounding the alarm in response to the drive current from the receiver 2a to inform the owner of the present position of the wallet.
Referring to Fig. 3, there is shown a detailed circuit diagram of the alarm generator 2 and radio controller 1 in Fig. 2. As shown in this drawing, the radio controller 1 includes a switch SW having its one side connected to a first drive voltage source Vccl, a first resistor Rl having its one side connected to the other side of the switch SW, and a light emitting diode LED having its one side connected to the other side of the first resistor Rl and its other side connected to a ground terminal.
In the alarm generator 2, the receiver 2a includes a second resistor R2 having its one side connected to a second drive voltage source Vcc2, a photo transistor PT having its collector terminal connected to the other side of the second resistor R2, and a third resistor R3 having its one side connected to an emitter terminal of the photo transistor PT and its other side connected to the ground terminal. The photo transistor PT is turned on upon receiving an optical signal (call signal) from the radio controller 1.
The sound generator 2b includes a speaker S connected between the photo transistor PT and the one side of the third resistor R3 in the receiver 2a, for sounding the alarm upon receiving a drive current from the photo transistor PT.
The operation of the wallet with the above-mentioned construction in accordance with the present invention will hereinafter be described in detail.
If the owner turns on the switch SW of the radio controller 1 after recognizing the fact that he has lost his wallet with the alarm function in accordance with the present invention or he has had it stolen, a drive voltage from the first drive voltage source Vccl is supplied to the light emitting diode LED through the first resistor Rl, thereby causing the light emitting diode LED to generate the optical signal (call signal). The optical signal from the light emitting diode LED in the radio controller 1 is received by the photo transistor PT of the receiver 2a in the alarm generator 2 which is mounted to a desired position on the lost or stolen wallet. Upon receiving the optical signal from the radio controller 1, the photo transistor PT is turned on to transfer a drive voltage from the second drive voltage source Vcc2 to the speaker S in the sound generator 2b through the second and third resistors R2 and R3. As a result, the speaker S sounds the alarm in response to the drive voltage from the photo transistor PT to inform the owner of the present position of the lost or stolen wallet.
Then, the owner can readily detect the position of the lost or stolen wallet by checking the position from which the alarm is generated. If the wallet was stolen, the criminal can also be caught. In this case, two advantages can be attained at one move.
Therefore, when the owner has his wallet stolen in the subway or bus where the wallet robbery cases frequently occur, he can get back the stolen wallet and at the same time catch the criminal merely by operating the radio controller 1. Also, the present invention can be applied to bags, handbags and etc. to allow the owners to readily get back them when lost or stolen.
As apparent from the above description, according to the present invention, the alarm generator is mounted to personal effects such as the wallet to generate the alarm under the control of the radio controller, so as to inform the owner of the present position of the personal effects. If the owner lost his personal effects, he can readily get them back. Therefore, the owner can prevent physical and mental damages resulting from the loss of the important personal effects such as the wallet.
Although the preferred embodiments of the present invention have been disclosed for illustrative purposes, those skilled in the art will appreciate that various modifications, additions and substitutions are possible, without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention as disclosed in the accompanying claims.
