Abstract

A credit card (10) comprises a generally rectangular substrate (12) having a pair of opposed major faces (14, 16) respectively. At least one pair (18, 20) of integrated circuit devices is mounted on the substrate. Each integrated circuit device stores financial transaction data to be read by a card reader. The integrated circuit devices of the at least one pair are positioned on one of the major faces adjacent diagonally opposed corners thereof.
