Abstract

The invention relates to a child-proof peelable bag with sealable edges (10), comprising at least two lengths of packing material (1,2), the surfaces of which are sealed together by means of a sealing edge (3) and which have a holding aid (4) projecting outwards from the sealing edge (3). The peelable bag is characterized in that the relative flexural strengths of the lengths of packing material (1, 2) differ to a comparatively large extent and that the holding aid (4) of, for example, the length of packing material (1) having the greater flexural strength has a break line (5) in the area of the sealing edge (3).

Description

Peelable sealed edge bag in child-proof design, process for its production and its use.

The invention relates to a peelable sealed edge bag in a child-resistant design, comprising at least two packaging material web parts which are sealed to one another with a sealed edge and a gripping aid arranged outside the sealed edge, and to a method for its production and its use.

It is known that in order to fulfill the important "childproof" property, for example in the case of a bag packaging, the use of at least one, but usually two, highly tear-resistant packaging material webs is required for producing the packaging. In addition, these must have an appropriate barrier property relative to the packaged goods. In addition, in order to achieve the required barrier function, a tight, undamaged and tightly sealed weld seam must form the sealing edge of the packaging bag. In order to achieve peeling properties on dense sealing seams, sealing media or combinations of sealing media such as e.g. Use PE peel, peel varnish, etc.

Also known for solid pharmaceuticals are suitable, child-resistant sealed packages, such as blister strips, blister cards and tapes, which can be opened without tools. The packaged goods contained in these packagings, consisting of products such as tablets, pills, capsules, should be insensitive to pressure because they must be forcefully pressed out of the pack and removed through a cover, which is usually made of aluminum foil.

It is known among experts that a number of countries are currently considering introducing binding regulations. which mandate child-resistant packaging for a number of active ingredients. This applies in particular to medicinal products which, due to the toxic effects of their preparation, pose a high risk if used improperly, and particularly in children. For medicinal products that are flexible and sensitive to pressure due to their structure and use, it is not possible to push them through a packaging, as described above. On the other hand, the majority of patients consider it disadvantageous and annoying if the opening of a child-resistant bag packaging requires the aid of a tool such as scissors or a knife.

The invention has for its object to provide on the one hand without tools and on the other hand child-proof packaging for flat, flexible and pressure-sensitive drugs, the opening of which pressure must be safely avoided, and which on the other hand does not require any auxiliary tools to open.

The object is achieved in a peelable sealed edge bag of the type specified in the preamble of claim 1 with the invention by the design of the packaging material web parts specified in the characterizing part of claim 1.

The fact that the relative bending stiffnesses of the packaging material web parts are designed with a comparatively clear difference, and in addition that the gripping aid of the packaging material web part designed with higher bending stiffness has a weakening line running in the region of the sealing edge, the cohesion of the two can be achieved by deliberately kinking along the weakening line Break open packaging material webs and thus expose a handle tab for further peeling along the sealing edges. Because the grasping aid does not give way under tensile stress, but is only accessible for a subsequent peeling by means of the trick by kinking it, at least for children's hands and without knowing the necessary kinking function, there is security against playful opening.

One embodiment provides that an area of the grip aid next to the sealing edge is free of sealing medium or is not sealed. This makes it easier to access a beginning or a tab for further peeling along the sealing edges when it is bent.

Furthermore, it is advantageously provided that, in the part of the packaging material web which is designed to be less rigid, following the spacing of the outer contour of the gripping aid, a punching is provided with the formation of a gripping tab, with or without stopping points, depending on the material combination.

These breakpoints have the effect that, when the grip area is bent in a playful manner, the peel tab provided for opening still holds securely on the respective opposing packaging material path. Only by deliberately bending the flap directly around the weakening line in the more rigid web are the stopping points in the more flexible web overstretched and break open. As a result, a handle tab is formed or exposed.

The breakpoints can be represented by interruptions in the punching line or, for example, by relatively small sealed areas next to the punching line. The number, type and size of these breakpoints must be designed specifically for the material and depending on the size and geometry of the handle. This measure serves both to increase child safety and to facilitate further handling when peeling the sealed edge pouch. In contrast to known child-resistant, but often non-peelable, sealed edge bags according to the prior art, opening without tools or other aids is possible, while the desired property of child safety is achieved by special training of the handling aid by means of a weakening line of the more rigid part of the packaging web and punching out of a handling tab is achieved in the less rigid part of the packaging material web according to the teaching of the invention.

Further expedient or advantageous refinements of the invention are provided in accordance with the subclaims.

A method for producing a sealed edge bag according to the preceding claims, wherein a packaged product is inserted between halves of a sealed edge and a packaging having a grip and the halves are welded to one another, is characterized in that one of the halves is made of a comparatively less rigid material and the other half is made of a comparatively more rigid material or vice versa, and that the more rigid material half is formed at the attachment area of the gripping aid with a weakening line.

In this case, a stamping is made in the packaging material web part, which is designed with a low bending stiffness, following the outer contour of the gripping aid at a distance, to form a gripping tab.

The peelable sealed edge bag in a child-proof design can be used according to the invention for flat, pressure-sensitive pharmaceutical forms and in particular for transdermal therapeutic systems. Details, features and advantages of the invention result from the following explanation of an exemplary embodiment schematically illustrated in the drawings. Show it:

1 shows an exemplary embodiment of a circular packaging in the form of a sealed edge bag 10 in a child-resistant design and particularly suitable for packaging a circular TTS (not shown) or another flat pharmaceutical form, comprising at least two packaging material web parts 1, 2 which are sealed to one another with a sealed edge 3 and a grip aid 4 protruding outwards from the sealing edge 3, partially sealed according to hatching.

It is important here that the relative bending stiffness of the packaging material web parts 1, 2 is designed with a comparatively clear difference, and that the gripping aid 4 of the packaging material web part 1 designed with higher bending stiffness has a weakening line 5 running in the area of the sealing edge 3. The line of weakness is identified by a punctiform straight line. It runs approximately tangentially in the area of the sealing edge 3 and is prepared in a manner known per se, for example by perforation, notch punchings, creasing, thermal embrittlement etc. to form a defined predetermined breaking point. It is relevant for the function that one part of the packaging material web is stiff and the second part is relatively flexible. The relatively more flexible packaging material web part (2) or its breakpoints (9, 9a to 9c) (FIGS. 3 and 5) are overstretched by the kinking of the relatively stiffer packaging material web part (1) and thereby separated, thus exposing the peel tab (8). Which of the two web parts is stiff or less stiff is fundamentally not important for the function. In the example shown, for reasons of better handling and experience, the measure is taken that the lower web 1 is the rigid web and the upper web 2 is the flexible web. The opening aid (4) can then be folded down for the purpose of opening, the upper packaging material part (2) being stretched parallel to the weakening line (5). Through this stretching, the breakpoints (9, 9a to 9c) break open, after which the upper part of the web (2) in the peeling can be easily removed using the now exposed handling aid (8), if necessary after the handling aid 4 has been turned upwards, whereby the lower web part 1 breaks open at the weakening line 5.

On the material side, both webs are selected so that they have a barrier function appropriate to the product, which also applies equally to the sealing medium and the completely sealed sealing seam of the sealing edges 3.

Furthermore, FIG. 1 shows that an area 6 of the handling aid 4 next to the sealing edge 3 is free of sealing medium. This area 6, which is free of sealing medium, is delimited on the outside by a stamping 7, in the present case in the design similar to a bell curve, by means of which a grip tab (9, 9a to 9c) (FIGS. 3 and 5) secured at first (FIGS. 3 and 5) 8) is formed in the upper, more flexible packaging material web (2).

After opening and unfolding the handle (4) to overstretch and break the breakpoints (9, 9a to 9c), the handle tab (8) is exposed, which can then be used for further peeling of the peelable sealed edge bag (10), the handle tab 8 is formed in the upper flexible packaging material web 2. With their help, the handle 8 can be bent up very easily after opening and unfolding the handle 4, which can then be used for further peeling of the peelable sealed edge bag 10.

In an expedient embodiment, which cannot be seen from the top view, at least one of the packaging material webs 1-2 can be spatially pronounced or deep-drawn in the form of a trough.

As a prerequisite for security against unwanted child access, it is further provided that the packaging material webs 1, 2 in connection with one another have a sufficiently high tensile strength that prevents child access.

It is further provided that sealing medium is applied to at least one of the two sealing edges 3. Because sealing media and sealing processes in the prior art are known to the person skilled in the art in all details, no further details will be given here, but a qualified sealing in the area of the sealing edges 3 is assumed.

At least one of the two packaging material web parts (1, 2) can be a monofilm. According to the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 1, the packaging 10 can be provided for a circular plaster, for example a TTS.

In addition to the circular design of the sealed edge bag 10, any shape is of course possible and also required depending on the shape of the packaged goods.

For example, Figures 2 and 3 show rectangular formats, but these can also be polygonal or oval. On the design sample of a rectangular sealed edge bag 10, FIG. 2 shows a cornering aid 4 with an oblique weakening line 5 in the lower packaging material part 1, which is designed with greater bending stiffness 8 on. In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 3, the gripping aid 4, the course of the weakening line 5 as well as the stamping 7 and the resulting gripping tab 8 are provided on a narrow side of the rectangular packaging.

In order to prevent a possible premature protrusion of the grip tab 8 and thus an unintentional, premature peeling of the packaging material web part 2, interruptions 9 in the cutting line can be provided in the course of the stamping 7, as is shown in several places in FIG. The positioning, size and arrangement of such interruptions (9) can vary depending on the material. It is always individually definable for the respective material combination of the packaging materials (1 or 2) in connection with the existing package dimensions or their geometry and relevant for the tear-open function.

To achieve breakpoints (9, 9a to 9c), in addition to the exemplary embodiments in FIG Cut interruptions are also possible in the form of mini-sealing points of sealed areas within the unsealed area (6), as shown in FIG. 5. Position (9a) shows such a mini-sealed stop; an embodiment in which a corner is also sealed shows the position (9b); position (9c), on the other hand, represents a mini breakpoint, which was formed by a "nose" in the sealed seam.

In order to understand the function when peeling the relatively more elastic packaging material part 2, it should be pointed out that the stamping 7 preferably runs next to an edge sealing seam 3 and that the grip tab 8 bounded therewith does not seal with the region 6 of the packaging material part 1 underneath, but only by holding points (9 ) (Fig. 3) is secured.

A further embodiment variant consists in that, as shown in FIG. 4, the relatively stiffer web 1 is stamped 7 in such a way that a web tab 8 is formed in this web 1, which by bending upwards and then peeling the associated top web 2 easy opening of the package 10 allowed.
