Abstract

L'invention concerne des compositions de polyester à utiliser sous forme de fil ou de récipient, ayant des propriétés d'arrêt des gaz accrues, et comprenant des homo ou copolyesters dérivés de l'acide téréphtalique ou de mélanges d'acide téréphtalique avec de l'acide 2,6-naphtalène-dicarboxylique ou de l'acide isophtalique et un composant glycol, comme de l'éthylène glycol, et contenant de 5 à 17 pour-cent en mole d'un composé hydroxy aromatique de biphénol. Les films de ces compositions se caractérisent en ce qu'ils présentent des perméabilités à l'oxygène réduites et qu'ils peuvent être utilisés pour l'emballage de matériaux, notamment, l'emballage d'aliments ou de boissons.
