Abstract

The invention concerns the use of feminine sanitary absorbent articles as support for active principle(s), medicine, hygienic products, reagents or as sampling element, said function being provided by their texture or physical structure. Their texture can have a pharmacological activity by its chemical composition. Such systems can be applied for diagnosis, preventive or curative therapy, contraception, fertility, pregnancy until delivery and health care. In therapy it can in fact be considered as a novel galenic support. The systematic use during menstruation avoids any additional constraint, while it is also being used during a very favourable period for therapeutic efficacy. This is particularly useful in the context of preventive medicine. Of course, the system is also applicable, depending on the intended use, in any period of the menstrual cycle.

Description

1 1
UTILISATION DES PROTECTIONS PERIODIQUES FEMININES EXTERNES OU INTERNES COMME SUPPORT D ' AGENTS THERAPEUTIQUES ET DIAGNOSTIQUESUSE OF PERIODIC PROTECTIONS FOR EXTERNAL OR INTERNAL FEMININES AS A SUPPORT FOR THERAPEUTIC AND DIAGNOSTIC AGENTS
1- DESCRIPTION1- DESCRIPTION
Différents supports sont utilisés : ovules, gélules ou gels.TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION The vaginal route is commonly used for the administration of drugs. Different supports are used: ova, capsules or gels.
The present patent envisages certain interesting possibilities of periodic protections, hitherto unknown, in the fields of medical diagnostics, therapeutics and hygiene products. They remain in place for a few hours, are positioned naturally, are simple and common to handle by the women themselves and can be recovered.
During the menstrual period their use is natural and compulsory.
The protections, external and especially intravaginal, represent a real galenic tool, logical support for active principles, medicinal or other, for a microbiological flora, possibly associated with one or more vectors (for example ceramides). This support can also allow samples to be taken during the different phases of the menstrual cycle or pregnancy.
La protection, qu'elle soit externe ou intra-vaginale, peut être :Protection, whether external or intravaginal, can be:
• le support des principes actifs par sa texture, le produit étant fixé directement à la protection par des liaisons chimiques, des forces électrostatiques, ou par l'intermédiaire d'une capsule ou de micro-capsules contenant le ou les principes actifs ;• the support of the active ingredients by its texture, the product being fixed directly to the protection by chemical bonds, electrostatic forces, or by means of a capsule or micro-capsules containing the active ingredient (s);
• elle même, le ou un des principes actifs de par sa composition chimique;• itself, the or one of the active ingredients due to its chemical composition;
• un outil de prélèvements biologiques, microbiologiques, cytologiques et/ou de transport par sa structure physique;• a biological, microbiological, cytological and / or transport tool for its physical structure;
Many female pathologies are punctuated by cycles and are expressed precisely during the menstrual phase. It seems logical to use the natural coexistence of support and pathology. Periodic protection can therefore be the subject of several types of applications in various fields related to physiology or female pathologies:
• Prévention : reposant sur la périodicité menstruelle, le support permet l'application d'agents physiques, chimiques ou micro-organismes (levures ou bacilles) ;• Prevention: based on the menstrual period, the support allows the application of physical, chemical or microorganism agents (yeasts or bacilli);
• Thérapeutique : au moment d'une symptomatologie physiologique ou pathologique ;• Therapeutic: at the time of a physiological or pathological symptomatology;
Reagent support
(pH, dépistage micro-biologique) ;(pH, micro-biological screening);
• Contraception / fertilité : dépistage et/ou modification et/ou destruction de la glaire cervicale ; • Obstétrique : prévention et/ou traitement des contractions pathologiques ; dépistage de rupture des membranes, réalité d'une menace d'accouchement prématuré, déclenchement d'accouchement ;• Contraception / fertility: screening and / or modification and / or destruction of cervical mucus; • Obstetrics: prevention and / or treatment of pathological contractions; detection of rupture of membranes, reality of a threat of premature birth, induction of childbirth;

The vaginal route has been used for a long time to administer treatments, drugs in particular, in the form of tablets, ova, creams. We have never seen the idea of using periodic protections appear as a support for treatment or diagnosis in medical publications intended for specialists in gynecology-obstetrics.
However the interest of such a process is beyond doubt by the efficiency and the comfort which it brings. Tablets and eggs have many disadvantages of use compared to periodic protections. Their implementation is restrictive and often not optimal for good bioavailability of the active ingredient. During the period of menstruation one cannot derive any advantage from this physiological specificity. In any case, the pouring effect, practically constant for eggs or tablets, generally requires the use of protections. Finally, only periodic protections allow direct debits or their transport.
