Abstract

The present invention concerns a pocket holder for cards and notes wherein the cards are protected by a case with an opening (8) in one side. The case (1) further comprises a clip (2) with a tip (3) which keeps the notes against an external side of the case (1), and is characterised by the clip (2) forces one of the walls (7) of the case against the other wall (9), and that the outside wall of the case which the tip (3) of the clip (2) forces the notes against, is provided with a field (4) of anti-slip surface. The case has optionally a string (12) with a hook (13) to be fastened to a belt or pocket for safe keeping.

Description

Pocket Case for Cards and Notes.
The present invention concerns a pocket holder or case for storing cards and bank notes.
More accurately the invention concerns a pocket case for storing bank-, credit-, pay- and membership cards and similar as well as bank notes and coins.
The need to carry cash, bank notes and coins at all times is significantly reduced during the last years. At present cards are increasingly used and the share of money transactions by using cards is constantly increasing. Driving licenses for cars will also soon be found in the same format.
At the same time people get more free time and therefore become more engaged in different activities. This means in many connections a different and lighter dress code than in everyday use, more directed at leisure wear. This also implies a need for an easy device for storing money and the cards mentioned. Often there is no available place or only small pockets in today's leisure and sports wear for keeping heavy wallets or similar.
The present invention will take care of the mentioned cards in such a way that they are not bent, damaged at the corners or in any other way rendered useless. This will eventually make the cards unsuitable, particularly in connection with money transactions.
The inventions thus concerns a pocket case for cards and bank notes where the cards are protected by a case with an opening in one of the short ends, additionally the case includes a clip which with a tip keeps the notes fastened to one of the external sides of the case, characterised by the clip pressing one of the walls of the case against the other wall, and that the case's outer wall, against which the tip of the clip is pressing the notes, is equipped with a field of anti-slip surface.
The invention is further characterised by the pocket case having an optional string with a hook, preferably a snap hook or a split ring, attached to the outer wall of the case so that the case can be fastened to the pocket of a coat or trousers or similar. The US 7,718,329 patent describes a combined case for credit cards and the like and a clip for bank notes. The card consists of a case with an opening in one of the short ends, and a clip for fastening bank notes is attached to the outer side if the card case.
The present invention is different from this US patent by that the invention is using the same clip to fasten the notes and to apply pressure to the outer side of the card case. This pressure will cause the cards having been placed in the case to be forced against the opposite inner wall of the card case. The clip in the US patent is not formed as a tip nor is there any field of anti-slip surface that the notes are pressed against.
There is place for one or more plastic cards of standard size in the pocket case and every card lies equally well protected. By means of the thumb or an index finger one can easily insert or remove one or more cards through a split in the opening. The clip of the case being designed for the fastening of bank notes, grips around the case in such a way that the case squeezes the cards fixedly regardless the number. This prevents the cards from falling out of the case during use or during storage in the pocket.
The invention will be explained in more detail by the help of figures, where:
Fig. 1 shows a sketch of the side view of the pocket case of this invention, Fig. 2 shows the case seen from one of the short sides,
Fig. 3 shows the case from the flat side with the clip, Fig. 4 shows the other flat side with fastening of snap hook and line.
Figure 1 shows the case itself 1 with the clip 2 seen from the side. The clip 2 has a tip 3 pressing the bank notes (not shown) against a field 4 on one of the case's sides. To this field 4 is applied a material with an anti-slip surface preventing the bank notes from falling out of the clip 2. The bank notes bear against the clip's lower part 5 providing an additional support. The special design of the tip 3 of the clip 2 facilitates the bank notes being removed with the fingers by pulling the clip up from the bank notes.
Figure 2 shows the case from one of the short sides with the opening 8 for the cards. The clip 2 with the tip 6 is seen from the front. The bend 7 inside the case 1 is caused by the clip 2 being forced against the case's other wall 9. This bend will ensure that the plastic cards remain in place inside the case.
Figure 3 shows the case with the clip 2 against the flat side. The case 1 has in one of the short sides an opening 10 where one by means of the grip of a thumb or an index fmger easily can remove and insert cards.
Figure 4 shows the other flat side of the case. This side may have a fastening 11 for a line 12 being equipped with a hook 13 in the other end. This hook 13 may be a snap hook for attachment to a belt, a pocket or similar.
The special clip 2 of the invention, where bank notes of different sizes can be put folded up, has a special design. The special feature of this clip is that it presses the bank notes fixedly to the case furthest out on the clip. When the bank notes are placed against the bottom 5 of the clip, the tip 3 will force the notes against the wall of the case. The clip's special design of the front 6 makes it easy to lift the clip with the fingers in order to insert or remove bank notes from the clip.
A defined area 4, shown as a circle on figure 3, is equipped with an adhesive material with an anti-slip surface. This will enhance the effect of the clip and prevent the bank notes from slipping or in any other way unintentionally fall out of the clip.
In one of the corners of the case is attached a line 12 of a suitable length with a hook, split ring or similar for the fastening to a belt or a pocket. This fastening possibility will ensure that the case does not fall out of the pocket during extreme activities, and will also prevent the user from being exposed to pickpockets.
