On the other hand, the amounts of the niobium monoxide crystal and the niobium monitride crystal in the sintered body were 0.5% by mass and 0.7% by mass, respectively. Table 4 shows the evaluation results. Test example 30:
- niobium powder as in Test Example 25 was placed in a carbon crucible, left under reduced pressure at 150 Ot: for 30 minutes, returned to room temperature, taken out, and then pulverized with a Portec mill to obtain a carbon amount of about 100,000.
- the powder was niobium powder which was partly carbonized by mass ppm. Further, 7% by mass of the niobium monoxide crystal used in Test Example 25 was mixed with this powder.
- Test Example 31 The partially carbonized niobium powder of Example 1 was partially carbonized using the same nitriding method as in Test Example 29, with a carbon content of about 1000 ppm by mass and a nitrogen content of about 250 ppm by mass. And a partially nitrided niobium powder was obtained. Further, 0.1% by mass of niobium mononitride powder was mixed with the niobium powder. Using this mixture, a capacitor was manufactured in the same manner as in Test Example 31. On the other hand, the niobium monoxide crystal and the niobium mononitride crystal in this sintered body were 1.3% by mass and 0.35% by mass, respectively. Table 4 shows the evaluation results. Test Example 3 3:
