Verfahren und Einrichtung zum Reinigen, Desinfizieren oder Schmieren von ärztlichen, insbesondere zahnärztlichen Handstücken oder dergleichen Method and device for cleaning, disinfecting or lubricating medical, in particular dental, handpieces or the like
The invention relates to a method for cleaning, disinfecting or lubricating medical, in particular dental, handpieces or the like, the handpiece first being flowed through under pressure by a liquid medium contained in a container and then undesired residues of the medium being blown out by means of air, and a device for introducing the agent into such a handpiece.
AT 372 601 B describes a device in which a means referred to as a care product is introduced into the device to be maintained under pressure via a delivery element and an adapter to be selected. A propellant, for example, which acts on the care product contained, serves as the pressure drive. Another version describes a piston pump by means of which the care product is dispensed.
Residues, especially of a cleaning agent or disinfectant, should then be removed from the device, and for this purpose they are generally briefly blown through with compressed air.
The invention has now set itself the task of designing a method and a device of the type mentioned so that the maintenance of the device is possible in a simple and rational manner.
According to the invention this is achieved in that the agent and the air are discharged in succession from the same container and through the same opening, the container being rotated for the delivery of the agent so that the opening is deeper than the surface of the agent and for the delivery the air is rotated so that the opening is higher than the surface of the agent. In this way, depending on the position of the container, the agent or the air contained in the container is present at the discharge opening, and the otherwise inevitable establishment of a compressed air connection is unnecessary. A preferred embodiment of the device for carrying out the method provides a container which is designed as a compressible hand bottle. A hand bottle is understood to be a bottle whose size allows it to be easily held in the hand, to be handled and to be pressed together by hand, whereby it resets due to the elasticity of the material. Such hand bottles can for example consist of plastic and have a capacity of up to two liters.
For the maintenance of a device, the bottle is provided with the necessary adapter, and rotated so that the agent contained is above the dispensing element below. If the bottle is now squeezed a little, a portion of the agent is pressed into the device through the dispensing element and the adapter piece. In order to remove residues in the device, the bottle is turned back so that it is in a normal position in which the dispensing element now on top is not in contact with the agent but with the air in the bottle. Pressing the bottle again causes a blast of compressed air through the dispensing element, the adapter piece and the connected device, which is blown through and cleaned of unwanted residues.
A closure cap with an adapter piece connection on the hand bottle is preferably provided as the dispensing element. Alternatively, the closure cap can also be designed directly for the interchangeable reception of each adapter piece. Furthermore, adapter pieces are also conceivable into which the closure cap is integrated.
The hand bottle is preferably provided with a threaded neck, so that a screw cap can be provided. Furthermore, the hand bottle can be provided with at least one ribbed flat, so that it lies better in the hand.
Another adapter piece can be provided to refill the container. This adapter piece contains a filling opening for connection to a storage container, for example a refill bag or the like, and can have a second opening through which the air can be displaced from the container. A preferred exemplary embodiment of the invention is described in more detail below with reference to the two figures of the accompanying drawing, in which a hand bottle provided with an adapter piece is shown in longitudinal section in both use positions.
A hand bottle 1, which is shown in approximately natural size, and about a quarter liter of a means 9 for cleaning, disinfecting and / or lubricating a medical or dental handpiece or the like. can take up, consists of a plastic, for example high-pressure polyethylene, and has at least one flat 2, in which a rib 3 is formed for a non-slip hold of the hand bottle 1 in the hand. A thread is provided on the bottle neck 4, onto which a screw cap 5 is screwed, the internal thread of which is not shown for reasons of clarity. The closure cap 5 has a central, stepped opening 8, into which an adapter piece connection 6 is inserted, which is provided with an annular shoulder 7 engaging in the stepping. The ring shoulder 7 is clamped between the bottle neck 4 and the cap 5. Adapter pieces 10, 11 can be placed on the exposed nipple of the adapter piece connection 6, which pieces can then be connected to a device to be maintained or a refill container.
If the hand bottle 1 is turned upside down (FIG. 1), the opening 12 of the adapter piece connection 6 lies deeper than the surface 13 of the means 9. If the hand bottle is compressed in this position, the agent 9 emerges through the adapter piece connection 6 and flows by a connected device. For the removal of undesired residues, the hand bottle 1 is brought into a normal position in which the opening 12 of the adapter piece connection 6, which is now at the top, lies higher than the surface 13 of the means 9. If the hand bottle 1 is now pressed a second time, the air above the medium 9 flows out of the bottle, by means of which the connected device is blown out.
The filled or refilled hand bottle 1 also contains a sufficient amount of air 14 for the first air purge, which comprises at least 2 percent by volume of the bottle content. When the bottle is filled, the surface 13 of the means 9 preferably lies approximately at the upper edge of the rib 3.
