Abstract

The invention relates to a gastroretentive system for an extended retention time. Active agents are released in the stomach or the gastro-intestinal tract. The inventive system comprises a sleeve that is at least partially semipermeable, a gas producer or a superabsorbing polymer. The invention is characterised in that the dosing unit (1) is a bag that contains at least two chambers (2a, 2b, 2c, etc.) and that has a front wall (6) which is the sleeve. Two adjacent chambers (2) are connected to each other by a mutual partition (3a, 3b, 3c, etc.) respectively.
