Abstract

A telephony system including a data network (130), a plurality of telephony devices (140) each operatively associated with the data network and operative to request telephony services, via the network. The system further includes a first telephony switch (110) and a secondary switch (120). The first telephony switch includes a first data replication subsystem operative to replicate the stored configuration information to the system information database included in the second telephony switch.
