Abstract

The invention concerns a device for protection against fraud in a telephone communication network in a system of prepaid communication service between an operator and a client. The invention is characterised in that the device comprises means for scrambling the telephone signal during its transmission between the client's private line (10) and the operator's telephone network (1), inhibiting all access to the communication network except through the scrambling means. The invention also concerns a telephone installation comprising said device and a method to be implemented by said device. The invention is applicable to prepaid telephone communication network installations.
