Description

Verfahren und Vorrichtung zur Steuerung der Sprachausgabe in einem Method and device for controlling speech output in one
Kraftfahrzeugmotor vehicle
The invention relates to a method and a device for controlling the speech output in a motor vehicle.
In modern motor vehicles there are a large number of electrical components with voice output. These include, for example, the radio, hi-fi devices, navigation devices and car telephones, some of which use the same loudspeakers as output units. The vast majority, however, have their own separate output units. Thus, in individual cases it can happen that the motor vehicle driver has to concentrate on different speech outputs at the same time.
Die Ausgabeeinheit ist dabei mit einer Spracherkennungseinrichtung verbunden.EP 0 312 778 A1 discloses a radio reception device for motor vehicles, in which incoming traffic announcements are entered into a memory during a predetermined period of time and can be reproduced therefrom if necessary, the receiving devices being provided for a plurality of transmitters of traffic announcements. These announcements are read into a common memory and then reproduced by an output device if they have a predefined identifier. The output unit is connected to a speech recognition device.
The invention is therefore based on the technical problem of creating a method and a device for controlling the voice output in a motor vehicle, by means of which the motor vehicle driver is less disturbed in his concentration.
The solution to the technical problem results from the objects with the features of claims 1 and 5. Further advantageous embodiments of the invention result from the subclaims.
For this purpose, priorities are assigned to the different speech outputs, only the speech output with the highest priority being output, whereas the speech outputs with lower priority are output with a time delay or are suppressed. As a result, the motor vehicle driver hears only a single voice output at a time, so that the driver can concentrate better on the prioritized output. A special situation is present when a car phone is present, since the dialogue situation would cause a time delay in the speech output to be irritating. In a further preferred embodiment, the voice output of a car telephone can therefore be switched to a waiting mode. As a result, prioritized speech output can take place without the incoming telephone call having to be forwarded to a mailbox.
In a further preferred embodiment, the priorities are defined depending on the situation. For example, it can be provided that a voice output of a navigation device only has the highest priority if a change in direction is to be signaled thereby, whereas otherwise the car telephone has the highest priority.
In a further preferred embodiment, the call participant is informed that the speech output has been interrupted briefly, so that on the one hand he no longer has to speak and on the other hand knows that his last words have not been perceived.
The invention is explained in more detail below on the basis of a preferred exemplary embodiment. The single figure shows a schematic block diagram of a device for controlling voice output in a motor vehicle.
The device 1 for controlling the speech output in a motor vehicle comprises a GPS receiver 2, a combined radio / CD device 3, a memory 4, a control device 5, a GSM module 6, a navigation device 7 with a first loudspeaker 8 and one first microphone 9, a second speaker 10 assigned to the combined radio / CD device 3, a multifunction control unit 11, a speaker 12 and a microphone 13, all of which are connected to one another via a bus structure 14.
Zur Veranschaulichung sei folgende Priorisierung angenommen, die im Steuergerät 5 hinterlegt ist:The device 1 comprises three devices with voice output, namely the navigation device 7, the radio / CD device 3 and a car telephone comprising the GSM module 6, the essential functionality of the individual devices being assumed to be known. For example, a destination entry for the navigation device 7 is entered by voice command via the microphone 9 or alphanumerically via the multifunction control unit 1 1, in which the navigation device 3 determines a route depending on the route Receiver 2 detected actual position calculated. Via the loudspeaker 8, the user then receives direction information by voice output. Furthermore, the user can listen to radio transmitters, music CDs or cassettes by means of the radio / CD device 3 via the loudspeaker 10. The loudspeaker 12 and the microphone 13 are, for example, part of a hands-free system of a car telephone. The prioritization and control takes place via the control unit 5. For illustration purposes, the following prioritization is assumed, which is stored in the control unit 5:
1) Sprachausgabe der Navigationseinrichtung,1) voice output from the navigation device,
2) Sprachausgabe Radio "Verkehrsnachrichten",2) voice output radio "traffic news",
3) Sprachausgabe Autotelefon,3) voice output car phone,
4) Sprachausgabe Radio/CD-Gerät "Musik"4) Voice output radio / CD device "Music"
It is further assumed that the radio / CD device 3 is designed with an automatic overlay function for traffic news and the radio / CD device 3 is set to a music CD. As long as there is no voice output from the navigation device 7 via the loudspeaker 8, no traffic message is sent or a telephone call is received, the motor vehicle driver hears the music via the loudspeaker 10. If a traffic message now comes in, this is recognized by the control unit 5. The music is interrupted and the traffic message is output via the loudspeaker 10. Then the music is output again. The procedure runs analogously if the navigation device 7 wants to output a change of direction by voice command. In this case, the loudspeaker 10 is “muted” until the navigation message has been output via the loudspeaker 8. If a traffic message is received during this time, it is stored in the memory 4. After the navigation message has ended, the traffic message is then output from the memory 4 via the loudspeaker 10. In the case of the car phone, on the other hand, a distinction is made as to whether the call or the telephone call is received or the connection has already been established.
If, for example, a telephone call comes in during a voice output from the navigation device 7, this call is switched to a waiting mode. The motor vehicle driver can thus perceive the navigation message without time pressure and then accept the telephone call without having to fear that the call will be forwarded to a mailbox. During the waiting mode, the opposite party receives a message that the driver cannot yet accept the call. This wait mode operation is preferably manual can be activated and deactivated. This enables the driver to decide whether he wants to be diverted to a mailbox or waiting mode, for example because he expects a very important phone call. If, on the other hand, a traffic message or a navigation device arrives during the call, the loudspeaker 12 and the microphone 13 are briefly muted. The motor vehicle driver can listen to the messages, react accordingly and then continue the call. During the muting, the other party then receives appropriate information that the motor vehicle driver is busy for a short time. This information is preferably stored in the memory 4. This information relieves the motor vehicle driver of cumbersome explanations.
