Technical Field
The present invention generally relates to an advertisement method using bidirectional media, which is capable of putting an advertisement and generating and moving an advertisement image on a main frame of an interface of the client or random region other than the main frame of the window or similarly functioning window of a browser enabling bidirectional media communication, instantly displaying an advertisement and vanishing it according to a user's choice, and accumulating related information for reuse.
Background Art
As the number of Internet users has been increased, various Internet related business activities have been also increased. The Internet advertisement market has been incredibly grown for a short period of time in comparison with a TV, newspaper, or magazine advertisement market. With regard to the Korean domestic Internet advertisement market, 37 billion won had been spent on 1999 and about 70 billion won will be spent on 2000. The types of the Internet advertisements have been diversified. They may be classified into a banner type advertisement like a box type advertisement having a market share decreased from 90% to 56%, a cooperation type advertisement having a market share of 30%, a pop-up type advertisement having a market share of 5%, and an e-mail type advertisement having a market share of 1%. The banner type advertisement is an advertisement method, in which the contents of an advertisement are displayed in a box form between text information, and the detailed information of the advertisement is displayed or a banner advertiser's Web side is shown by clicking the banner advertisement. The cooperation type advertisement is an advertisement method in which Web sites in supplement relationship with another provide hyperlinks to one another in their sites. The pop-up type advertisement is an advertisement method in which a separate browser showing the contents of the advertisement is displayed when an Internet user accesses a site.
However, in the conventional advertisement method, an advertisement image on the screen remains stationary, so an advertisement cannot attract Internet user's attention, thereby weakening the function of an advertisement.
In addition, there occurs the problem that an advertisement on a Web page cannot be maintained when a horizontal or vertical scroll bar is manipulated, since the size of a Web page on which the advertisement appears is larger than the size of a main frame. Additionally, there occurs another problem that the previous advertisement on a vanished Web page cannot be maintained when a user moves to other Web pages, other sites or homepages. Additionally, the conventional advertisement utilizing an image is superior in visual advertisement effectiveness, but cannot induce a user to participate in the advertisement, thereby causing a problem that it cannot maximize the effectiveness of the advertisement on the Internet.
Additionally, the effectiveness of an advertisement is minute, and a spatial limitation is imposed on the display of the advertisement, thereby being unsuitable for an online company's advertisement business model.

Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
Hereinafter, with reference to accompanying drawings, the present invention will be described in detail.
Fig. 1 is a schematic diagram showing a system for an advertisement method using bidirectional media. The system for an advertisement method using bidirectional media in accordance with the present invention has a construction in which an advertisement database 20 and a contents provider 30 are connected to an advertisement server 10 and a client 40 is connected to the contents provider 40 through a computer network. The client 40 is connected to the content provider 30, and the contents provider 30 requests an advertisement from the advertisement server 10 connected to the contents provider 30. An advertisement program together with an accumulation window program is transmitted from the advertisement database 20 of the advertisement server 10 through the advertisement server 10 and the contents provider 20, and an advertisement is executed on the interface of the client 40. When the client 40 clicks a moving advertisement image, the moving advertisement image is vanished, and an instant advertisement is executed on the client 40 using an instant advertisement program transmitted from the advertisement database 30 of the advertisement server 10 through the advertisement server 10 and the contents provider 30 to the client 40. After the instant advertisement is executed, advertisement information and a link concerning the instant advertisement are accumulated in an accumulation window.
Fig. 2 is a schematic diagram showing an advertisement server employed for the system for the advertisement method in accordance with the present invention.
The advertisement server 10 is connected to the contents provider 30 and the advertisement database 20, and consists of a CPU 12, a RAM 14 and a ROM 16. Fig. 3 is a flowchart showing the outline of the advertisement method using bidirectional media in accordance with the present invention. The advertisement method using bidirectional media comprises the following steps.
(1) Connecting the client 40 to the advertisement server 10 through the interface of the client 40 SI 00;
(2) Transmitting the advertisement program to the client 40 from the advertisement database 20 of the advertisement server 10 S200;
(3) Generating one or more advertisement images on a main frame of the interface of the client 40 or random region other than the main frame S300; (4) Moving the advertisement images to the random region along a random path S400; (5) Instantly displaying the advertisement information of a certain company, certain random information, a sound, a smell or vibrations for a certain period time when one of the moving advertisement images is clicked by a mouse pointer or the like S500;
(6) Returning to the previous home page or state after the previous step S500 S600;
(7) Accumulating information concerning the executed instant advertisement on an accumulation window of the advertisement server 10 or client 40 S700;
(8) Moving to the accumulation window when the accumulation window is clicked S800; and
(9) Moving to a site hyperlinked to a banner advertisement when the banner advertisement of the accumulation window is clicked S900.
The flowchart of Fig. 4 illustrates some of the steps of Fig. 3 in detail. Fig. 4 is a flowchart showing the steps of generating advertisement S300 and of moving advertisement randomly S400.
The advertisement image transmitted from the advertisement database 20 of the advertisement server 10 is displayed on the interface of the client 40 S302. After the advertisement image is displayed on the interface of the client 40, the advertisement image is moved along a random path by a certain period of time S304. The movement of the advertisement image along the random path implies that the advertisement image is not moved, or the path of the movement can exist or not. When the advertisement image moved on the interface of the client 40 exists at a position deviating from a designated region S306, the advertisement image is moved to the designated region S308. The advertisement image moved on the interface of the client 40 is moved in a random moving direction S304.
When the client 40 does not click the moving advertisement image with a mouse pointer or the like S310, a random number of advertisement images are generated S312. The generation of a random number of advertisement images implies that no advertisement image is generated, or the number of the advertisement images is restricted. After the advertisement image is generated S312, the system is returned to the step of moving the advertisement image on the interface of the client 40 by a certain period of time S304.
The flowchart of Fig. 5 illustrates some of the steps of Fig. 3 in detail. Fig. 5 is a flowchart showing the steps of instantly displaying an advertisement S500 and vanishing the advertisement S600. The client 40 clicks one or more advertisement images moved to a random region along a random path with a mouse pointer or the like S310. When an advertisement image is clicked, the advertisement image randomly moved on the interface of the client 40 is stopped S502. When the movement of the advertisement image is stopped, the advertisement image randomly moved on the interface of the client 40 is vanished S504. When the advertisement image is vanished from the interface of the client 40, a sound advertisement file transmitted from the advertisement database 20 of the advertisement server 10 is executed S506. An image advertisement file transmitted from the advertisement database 20 of the advertisement server 10 is executed on the interface of the client 40 while the sound advertisement file is executed, so a moving picture advertisement in which the image of an advertisement is varied is executed S508. Another types of advertisement techniques can be executed together with the sound advertisement and the image moving picture advertisement. In one of another types of advertisement techniques, when a feel mouse capable of sensing a shape on the Internet is connected to the client 40, the feel mouse can be manipulated to represent the shape. For example, when the image of an earthquake is included in the advertisement, the feel mouth is vibrated to represent the shape of the earthquake, so a user can feel the earthquake. In addition, when the client has a function of sensing a smell, the advertisement can be executed to allow the user to sense the smell. For example, when a certain perfume is desired to be advertised, the smell of the perfume can be emitted by the client 40 that is capable of emitting the smell of the perfume. When the image advertisement and the sound advertisement are completed, the image advertisement and the sound advertisement are automatically vanished. When the image advertisement and the sound advertisement are vanished, the procedure is moved from the interface of the client 40 to the previous home page or state S512.
The flowchart of Fig. 6 illustrates some of the steps of Fig. 3 in detail.
Fig. 6 is a flowchart showing the accumulation window.
The instant advertisement is vanished on the interface of the client 40 S
702. The executed instant advertisement information or banner advertisement is distinguishably stored in an accumulation window S704. When the client 40 clicks the accumulation window or a button to open the accumulation window with a mouse pointer or the like S706, the advertisement information or banner advertisement is displayed on the interface of the client 40 in certain or random order S708. When not, the advertisement is terminated. When the client 40 clicks the accumulation window or a button to open the accumulation window with a mouse pointer or the like S710, the client 40 is moved to a Web site corresponding to the banner advertisement clicked on the interface of the client 40.
When not, the accumulation window is closed and the advertisement is ended.
When the client 40 does not close the accumulation window, the procedure is returned to the step of displaying the advertisement information or banner advertisement S708. The accumulation window may be newly combined with a random advertisement, and understood as a new type of a unique advertisement method.
Fig. 7 is a flowchart showing the step of the banner advertisement in the step of the instant advertisement of the advertisement method using bidirectional media in accordance with the present invention.
When the client 40 is connected to the advertisement server 10, executes an advertisement and clicks an advertisement image moved randomly, and the clicked advertisement image is a banner advertisement SI 002, the procedure is moved to a site hyperlinked to the banner advertisement SI 004, an sound file transmitted from the server 10 is executed SI 006 during the loading time of moving to the hyperlinked side, and a moving picture image advertisement file transmitted from the server 10 is executed on a region other than a main frame SI 008. When the movement to the hyperlinked site is completed SI 010, the advertisement is vanished S 1012.
