Abstract

Conditions from a user accessing the server computer (10) is received to select a sports team to have a match against. A sports team meeting the input conditions is extracted from the database (20) and displayed to the user. If a desired counterpart team is selected by the user, the server computer (10) informs the counterpart team of a request for a match. If the request for a match is approved by the counterpart team, an actual match schedule is set. Thus, sports teams located far from a requesting team can have a match with no geographical limit.

Description

METHOD OF ARRANGING A MATCH BETWEEN SPORTS TEAMS THROUGH THE INTERNET AND RECORDING MEDIUM THEREFOR
Technical Field The present invention relates to a method for arranging a match between sports teams through the Internet, and to a recording medium therefor

It is another objective of the present invention to provide a computer- readable recording medium containing the above method
Accordingly, to achieve the above objective, there is provided a method for arranging a match between sports teams through the Internet so that the a sports team can play an actual match against a counterpart sports team meeting conditions, the method comprising the steps of (a) receiving team information and match available date from each sports team and registering the input information on a database of a server computer, (b) receiving conditions from a user accessing the server computer to select a sports team to have a match against, (c) extracting a sports team meeting the input conditions from the database and displaying the result to the user, (d) if a desired counterpart team is selected by the user, the server computer informing the counterpart team of a request for a match, and (e) if the request for a match is approved by the counterpart team, setting an actual match schedule
To achieve another objective, there is provided a computer-readable recording medium for storage of a method for arranging a match between sports teams through the Internet so that the a sports team can play an actual match against a counterpart sports team meeting conditions, the method comprising the steps of (a) receiving team information and match available date from each sports team and registering the input information on a database of a server computer, (b) receiving conditions from a user accessing the server computer to select a sports team to have a match against, (c) extracting a sports team meeting the input conditions from the database and displaying the result to the user, (d) if a desired counterpart team is selected by the user, the server computer informing the counterpart team of a request for a match, and (e) if the request for a match is approved by the counterpart team, setting an actual match schedule

What is claimed is

(b) receiving conditions from a user accessing the server computer to select a sports team to have a match against, (c) extracting a sports team meeting the input conditions from the database and displaying the result to the user,
(d) if a desired counterpart team is selected by the user, the server computer informing the counterpart team of a request for a match, and
(e) if the request for a match is approved by the counterpart team, setting an actual match schedule
2 The method as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the database includes a team information table containing information on sports teams and a match schedule table containing information on match available dates and match request state of the sport teams
3 The method as claimed in claim 1 , wherein, in step (b), the conditions includes a region, an age, and a match available date
4 The method as claimed in claim 1 , after step (e), further comprising steps of
(f) after the actual match between a user's team and the counterpart team is completed, the result of the match is input to the sever computer, and (g) assigning points to the sports teams according to the input result of the match and storing the points on the database
5 The method as claimed in claim 4, wherein, in step (f), the result of a match is input to the server computer only when a defeated team approves the result
6 The method as claimed in claim 4, wherein the points of a match result are 4 points to a winning team, 2 points to drawn teams, and 1 point to a defeated team
7 A computer-readable recording medium for storage of a method for arranging a match between sports teams through the Internet so that the a sports team can play an actual match against a counterpart sports team meeting conditions, the method comprising the steps of
(a) receiving team information and match available date from each sports team and registering the input information on a database of a server computer,
(b) receiving conditions from a user accessing the server computer to select a sports team to have a match against,
(c) extracting a sports team meeting the input conditions from the database and displaying the result to the user,
(d) if a desired counterpart team is selected by the user, the server computer informing the counterpart team of a request for a match, and
(e) if the request for a match is approved by the counterpart team, setting an actual match schedule
