Abstract

A color matching system, based upon a forward color match between transformed motion picture film image (200, 202) and electronic camera moving picture (306), which operates in tandem with corresponding inverted (310) backward transformation. This forward and inversion pair of match transformation enables the matching of film and electronic image in both the film domain (by transforming the electronic image)(312) as well as the electronic display domain (by transforming the film image (fig. 3).
