Abstract

The invention concerns a mapping method, of the type using remote locating of a navigating moving object (1). Said method, wherein said navigating mobile object is a mobile transmitter (1) equipped with a graphic display screen (10), essentially comprises steps which consists in: transmitting, from the mobile transmitter (1), a request for navigation aid addressed to a computer equipment (2); locating the mobile transmitter (1); searching in the storage unit of the computer equipment (2), for a geographical map (K) covering the zone wherein is located the mobile transmitter (1); transmitting the map (K) to the mobile transmitter; and displaying said map (K) on the graphic display screen (10) of said mobile transmitter (1).
