Abstract

The present invention implements communication between objects using asynchronous communications utilizing a messaging service for providing distributive communications. The present invention extends such an implementation to include the ability to facilitate retention of state for implementing a stateless-capable messaging system configuration through the use of a message accessor which provides a data store for retaining persistent data such as state information. The messaging service retains state information by providing a message object that holds the state of the request, data required to fulfill the request, replies to extension requests for the original request and additional data and information as needed. Each time a component is invoked by receiving a message, the message object is employed so that the state can be restored.
