La conexión de datos al exterior se realiza mediante un modem (13) de tecnología adecuada o una conexión a red de área local (LAN) o red de área extensa (WAN). Preferentemente dicho modem (13) puede ser de tecnología convencional conectable a RTB (red de telefonía básica), ADSL, RDSI {Red Digital de Servicios Integrados), tecnología de fibra óptica, redes de comunicación especializadas o comunicaciones móviles GSM {Global System Mobile). Para la conexión inalámbrica permanente entre el módulo soporte (1) y el terminal móvil (2) se ha previsto el uso de dos módulos (8 y 12) de comunicaciones inalámbricas DECT, estando cada uno de los mismos instalado en el módulo soporte (1 ) y en el terminal móvil (2) respectivamente. Dichos módulos (8 y 12) presentan un radio de comunicación efectivo de hasta 50 metros, dependiendo del fabricante y de sus características, con una velocidad típica de comunicación aproximada de 23 kbps (Kilobits por segundo), aunque no se descarta el uso de un módulo de comunicaciones inalámbricas por microondas de banda ancha, tecnología bluetooth o similar. Como conexión fija de comunicaciones dicha terminal también presenta un conector USB o similar apto para la descarga directa de datos desde el terminal (2) cuando se encuentra conectado sobre el módulo soporte (1). Dicha conexión fija del terminal móvil (2) cuando se deposita sobre el módulo de soporte (1) se lleva a cabo mediante un enchufe (10 y 16) mutuo existente en ambos, dicho enchufe (10 y 16) incorpora la conexión entre el cargador (15) y las baterías (6) y la conexión de transferencia de datos USB o similar desde el modem (13).The support module (1) comprises a physical structure suitable for depositing the mobile terminal (1) when it is not preferably used, said terminal (2) being activated or deactivated.
