Abstract

The unit comprises a sealed flexible envelope enclosing a composition containing water, a thickening agent and an agent for lowering the freezing point of said composition. The unit is characterised in that the thickening agent comprises one or more hydrocolloids and the agent for lowering the freezing point is present in such a proportion as to give a fusion phase at an effectively constant temperature, not lower than about -10 °C, in such a manner that, during the fusion phase, the composition is malleable.
