Abstract

A needle (10) comprising a hollow shaft (12) having opposed distal (14) and proximal (16) ends, the hollow shaft (12) having a lumen (28) extending from the proximal end of the shaft (12) and terminating at an opening (30) on a top of and proximal to the distal end (14) of the needle shaft (12). A cutting surface (40) is at the distal end (14) of the hollow shaft (12) adapted to be inserted into a patient, wherein the cutting surface (40) is on the bottom (45) of the distal end (14) of the hollow shaft (12).
