Abstract

A device and method (10) for measuring effects of temperature and pressure on membrane permeability and selectivity in electrical/electrochemical/photo-electrochemical fields is provided. The device (10) includes a permeation cell (16) and a tube (14) mounted within the cell (16). An electrode (12) is mounted within the cell (16) wherein a corona is discharged from the electrode (12) in a general direction toward the membrane (18) thereby generating heated hydrogen atoms adjacent the membrane (18).
