Abstract

A system for associating documents with articles in a shipping container. The system includes an envelope having a generally flat body portion with an open end, first and second overlying flap portions extending from the open end and having oppositely facing exterior surfaces. The system also includes a shipping container having a main body and at least one cover portion that cooperates with the main body to enclose the articles. The envelope is receivable between the at least one cover portion and the main body of the shipping container and at least one of the first and second flap portions is affixable to an exterior surface of the container.

Claims

AMENDED CLAIMS
[received by the International Bureau on 27 May 2005 (27.05.2005): original claims 1-37 have been replaced by amended claims 1-30.] wherein the at least one flap portion extends from one of the front and rear panels, and the exterior surface of the at least one flap portion is continuous with the exterior surface of the one of the front and rear panels.
25. The envelope according to claim 24, wherein the at least one flap portion includes an interior surface with indicator marks thereon.
26. The envelope according to claim 25, wherein the at least one flap portion comprises first and second flap portions formed opposite each other at the open end, the first flap portion extending from the one of the front and rear panels, and the second flap portion extending from the other of the front and rear panels.
27. The envelope according to clam 26, wherein the first flap portion has a first shape and the second flap portion has a second shape that is different from the first shape.
28. The envelope according to claims 24, wherein the at least one flap portion comprises first and second flap portions formed opposite each other at the open end, the first flap portion extending from the one of the front and rear panels, and the second flap portion extending from the other of the front and rear panels.
29. The envelope according to clam 28, wherein the first flap portion has a first shape and the second flap portion has a second shape that is different than the first shape.
30. A package, comprising: a container having an exterior surface and a cover portion, the cover portion being configured to at least partially close an opening in the container; and an envelope comprising a body portion configured to receive an article through an open end, the body portion being substantially contained within the container, and a flap portion extending from the body portion and having an exterior surface continuous with an exterior surface of the body portion, the exterior surface of the flap portion being attached to the exterior surface of the container.
