Abstract

An endovascular tissue removal system (20) including an expandable mechanism (200) introduceable to the ventricular side of a valve (12) to support the leaflets of the valve in a closed position and a tissue removal device (40) advanceable to the leaflets and configured to resect the leaflets as they are supported by the expandable mechanism (200).
