Abstract
The present invention addressed the problem of providing a drive unit for a simulation and training sphere driven on friction rollers, improving the force transmission conditions from the friction roller (3) to the surface of the sphere, minimising slip between friction roller (3) and the surface of the sphere, and keeping low the inevitable abrasion on the surface of the sphere and the lining of the friction roller. This problem is solved by a double-roller drive which advantageously has the following five features according to the invention, it being possible, however, to implement these five features independently: 1. directly driven rollers; 2. V-shaped arrangement of the roller axes; 3. arrangement of the pair of rollers in a rocker; 4. linearly displaceable drive unit in the direction of the swivelling axis; 5. measures for preventing and eliminating dust deposits on the surface of the sphere and friction rollers (3).
