Abstract

A payment method of an in-flight entertainment device (IFED) (14) rentals where the IFED has audio and video presentations. The self-contained IFED (14) has internal storage configured to contain current releases of movies and other audiovisual presentations. The method includes payment method using card reader with swipe slot (58) for reading credit cards and attendant or user identification.
