Abstract

A device for holding a dosage form comprises an enclosure with dosage form retaining means. The enclolsure is provided with various shapes including cylindrical, rectangular, and cubical. The enclosure is intended to be used in conjunction with a USP 25 <711> type dosage form dissolution apparatus. A method of immersion testing of a dosage form comprises maintaining the orientation of the dosage form during dissolution testing. The method can be used with a USP <711> type dosage form dissolution apparatus.
