Abstract

A system and method for automatically testing the workflow of the Web Service is provided. Aspects of the present invention include reading a BPEL file and WSDL file for the Web service participating in the workflow, wherein the WSDL file specifies operations performed by the Web Services and BPEL file specifies the sequence of execution, data assignments and the data flow for the Web Services. At least one request is automatically generated for each of the Web Service participating in the Web Services workflow. The Web Service are invoked in specific sequence synchronously or asynchronously, using the generated requests with available test data, such that requests are sent to the Web Service, and responses are received back from the Web Services. The test responses are then analyzed for Pass/Fail/Timeout decisions and report are generated.
