Abstract

The invention relates to a betting slip comprising at least one field. Said slip contains an RFID chip, in which the information of the field or fields is stored and from which said information can be transmitted in a wireless manner to a reader.

Betting slip

The invention relates to a bet slip with at least one playing field.

Such betting slips are used, for example, for participation in lotteries such as lotteries, whereby a user can mark different fields on the betting slip. In Lotto this is the ticking of 6 numbers from 49. Furthermore, ready-made tickets are known on which already marked fields are printed. In Lotto, some of the fields are already marked with random numbers. These beretis random numbers are often of interest to gamblers who do not participate so often in the game and therefore do not want to bother choosing the numbers themselves. The fields marked on the betting slip and further information printed on the betting slip are read in optically in known scanner devices, wherein the information may also include bar codes.

It is considered to be disadvantageous that optical scanner methods can lead to erroneous read operations if the betting slip is bent or only slightly soiled.

The object of the present invention is to further develop the betting slips in such a way that their evaluation is facilitated.

This object is achieved by a betting slip with the features of claim 1.

The idea underlying the invention is to wirelessly transmit the information of the playing field and further information such as the identification of the betting slip to a reading device by means of an RFID chip. RFID chips (radio Frequency IDentification) are available in high quality at low prices and can be fully integrated into the betting slip due to their small size. You need advantageously no power source, since the energy required for transmission is low and thus transmitted wirelessly during reading from the reader.

In the RFID chip, the information of the game field, for example, have already been set and printed on the bet slip, stored. Lotto can be a random number that is marked on the playing fields. At the same time, further information such as the schema number, the duration and the like can be stored. This information is stored independently of the contamination of the betting slip and can advantageously be transferred to a wireless reading device in only one read operation. For this purpose, it is particularly advantageous that the betting slip must be kept only in a certain distance in front of the reading device, since the transmission of data automatically and regardless of location runs. A defined position as in an optical scanning is not required.

In a preferred embodiment, the RFID chip is designed as a read-only transponder for storing and reading data. This implements a further advantage for forgery-proof betting slips. The RFID chip is described once when manufacturing the betting slip of special writing devices and can not be changed later. When writing a tamper-proof code can also be entered, so that manipulations can be detected during the reading process.

In particular, it is conceivable that customer cards are equipped with an RFID chip on which the preferred number of bets of a game participant are stored. These loyalty cards can be designed in a known manner as plastic cards. The information stored in the RFID chip can be read out wirelessly from a reading device when participating in a game. For betting slips which do not already have pre-marked playing fields and are provided for marking by the game participant himself, it is advantageous that the at least one playing field can be changed by a marking process so that the information introduced thereby can be transmitted to the RFID chip. The game participant marks the playing field as usual with a ballpoint pen, so that a suitable pressure is exerted on the playing field during the marking process. The markers are converted into electrical changes, which in turn can be easily transmitted from the RFID chip.

In a preferred embodiment, for this purpose the playing field is formed as a field matrix having contacts whose electrical properties are variable by the mechanical pressure exerted during the marking operation. In this case, it is advantageous for the RFID chip to operate with very low energy, and thus also to be able to scan even small electrical changes, such as, for example, small contact resistances between contacts, in an advantageous manner. Such contact resistances can be advantageously realized by means of aufreibbarer conductive layers on contacts during the marking process.

In an alternative embodiment, the user field is formed from a field matrix having contacts whose electrical properties are variable by means of a perforation in the marking process. In this embodiment, the marking process can be carried out by perforation or a large punctiform pressure on the field section to be marked, wherein the contacts for scanning are electrically changed by either a conductive layer or the perforated conductive material.

In Fig. 1, a betting slip 1 is shown in a conventional format of printed paper with its upper side with multiple playing fields 2, as used for example to participate in a lottery event.

The playing fields 2 are printed and have a certain division such as square or rectangular boxes, each having a particular meaning such. a number is assigned, which is also printed. The boxes are marked by a mark 7, in the example shown a cross. The back of the betting slip 1 may have further imprints such as instructions for use.

Furthermore, there are two identification fields 3, two additional playing fields 4, a time field 5 and a labeling field 6 on the side of the betting slip 1 shown by way of example. The identification fields include readable information to identify the betting slip 1 by means of a number or alphanumeric drawing or the like.

The additional user fields 4 allow the user to make further additions to his participation in this betting slip 1. Here, for example, yes or no fields are marked with a marker to confirm or refrain from further participation.

The time field 5 specifies a validity period of the betting slip 1 by marking a certain length of time for the eligibility, for example a month.

The label field 6 can be used to enter game subscriber data, such as the name of the game participant.

The information contained in the printed fields 2, 3, 4 and 5 are contained in an RFID chip 10 (RFID = Radio Frequency IDentification), which is incorporated in the betting slip 1. The RFID chip 10 is an electronic semiconductor memory device whose data can be read out from the outside by means of a reading device (not shown) wirelessly, whereby the betting slip 1 must be brought at a certain distance from the reading device. The RFID chip is placed in the betting slip 1 in an advantageously flat design, for example by an adhesive process. This chip is provided when creating the betting slip 1 with its printed information in a known manner.

For this purpose, the betting slip 1 is brought with the RFID chip 10 in the vicinity of this reading device, which generates an alternating electromagnetic field in such a way that in this field at a certain frequency, a certain power is transmitted to the RFID chip 10. This power transmitted by the reading device is sufficient for activating a transmitting device of the RFID chip 10, so that the in the chip 10 stored data of the betting slip 1 are transmitted wirelessly in a known manner in a specific data format to the reading device.

FIG. 2 shows a second exemplary embodiment for the use of an RFID chip in a betting slip 1, which is embodied here, for example, as a scratch ticket. The so-called scratch area is a second playing field 8, which is covered with the layer to be removed during the rubbing process. For example, icons 9 are printed on sections 9. The value of this lot as well as further information are stored in the RFID chip 10 and are read out during the participation process as explained above.

In an alternative embodiment, which shows FIG. 3, the playing field 2 of the betting slip 1 from FIG. 1 is designed in the form of a field matrix 12, which is connected to the RFID chip via a connection 11. In this case, it is possible for the game participant to mark the field matrix with a suitable writing instrument such as a ballpoint pen. The marking operation alters the field matrix 12 such that its electrical characteristics represent an image of the user-made markings transmitted from the RFID chip 10 to the reader as discussed above.

Such a field matrix 12 is shown in an exemplary basic structure in sectional view in FIG. 4. It consists of a flexible cover layer 13 which can be marked with the writing instrument. As a result of the writing process, the marking is mechanically transferred to a likewise flexible carrier layer 14. The carrier layer 14 is provided with a conductive layer 15, which is brought by the pressure during marking in connection with the contacts 17, which are located on a solid contact layer 16. The conductive layer 15 remains adhered to the contacts 17 after the marking process and establishes an electrically conductive connection between terminals 18 attached to the contacts 17. Limiters 19 may each be attached around sections of the conductive layer 15 in order to ensure a secure delimitation between the individual markings. Of the Layer structure of the field matrix 12 is advantageously created from suitable known from printed circuit board conductor films.

The terminals 18 are connected via the connection 11 in a suitable manner with RFID chips.

It is also conceivable that, for example, the field matrix 12 is punctured or perforated by the writing instrument during the marking process in order to effect a corresponding change of the field matrix 12.
