Description
Description
INLINE SKATE HAVING VENTILATING UNITS
Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to an inline skate having a ventilating unit; and more particularly, to an inline skate having an air-inlet pipe at a bottom of a base of a boot and a plurality of air- ventilating holes formed above the air-inlet pipe to penetrate the base for forcedly inflowing an air into the inside of the boot through the air- ventilating holes when the air travels along the air-inlet pipe by an air pressure made in proportional to a speed of riding the inline skate in order to maximize an air-permeability of the inline skate. Background Art
[2] An inline skate is composed of a boot, which is worn on the foot and covers both of the foot and an ankle of a skater, and a frame attached at a bottom of the boot, which holds a plurality of wheels. The inline skate allows a skater to enjoy a speedy riding by rolling the wheels of the inline skate. Such an inline skate has become popular broadly.
[3] Since the skater rides the inline skate after wearing the high boot of the inline skate to tightly support the skater's ankle and foot, the skater may be uncomfortable due to a bad air-permeability of the boot. In order to improve the air-permeability of the boot, air ventilating holes are generally formed on sides of the upper of the boot, and the boot is generally made a fabric having a high air-permeability.
[4] However, such a conventional ventilating hole ventilates an air only around the instep of the foot, not for the sole of the foot. Due to the poor air ventilation for the sole of the foot, the sweat may be exuded from a sole of the foot. Such a wet foot makes a skater to easily feel tired, and the skater may be uncomfortable due to a bad odor from feet.
[5] In order to overcome such a shortcoming, the ventilation holes are formed on the base of the boot to indirectly inflow an air through the ventilation holes. However, it is insufficient to improve the air-permeability of the boot for ventilating an air around the sole of the foot. Disclosure of Invention Technical Problem
[6] It is, therefore, an object of the present invention to provide an inline skate having an air-inlet pipe formed at a bottom of a boot to form a venturi-pipe shaped air- ventilating path and a plurality of air- ventilating holes formed to penetrate the base above the air-inlet pipe for forcedly inflowing an air to the air- ventilating holes through the air-inlet pipe in order to directly ventilating an air inside the boot.
Technical Solution
[7] In accordance with one aspect of the present invention, there is an inline skate including a boot, a base and a frame with a plurality of wheels, which is attached at a center of the bottom of the base, the inline skate including: an air-inlet pipe formed at one side or both sides of the base for forming an air- ventilating path in a length direction; and a plurality of air ventilating holes formed at the base above the air-inlet pipe.
[8] The air ventilating path may be formed in a venturi-pipe shape by including a front inlet and a rear inlet which are formed to be wider, and a throat formed to be gradually narrowed between the front inlet and the real inlet of the air- ventilating path.
[9] The air ventilating holes may be formed to penetrate the base vertically or at a predetermined inclined angle. Advantageous Effects
[10] An inline skate according to the present invention includes an air-inlet pipe at a bottom of a base and a plurality of air ventilating holes formed at a base above the air inlet pipe to penetrate the base for forcedly inflowing an air into the inside of the boot through the air- ventilating holes while the air travels along a venture pipe shaped air- ventilating path. Therefore, the air permeability of the boot is dramatically improved and the temperature around a sole of a foot is cooled down according to the present invention. Accordingly, the skater may be comfortable to ride the inline skate according to the present invention without the foot sweated and the odor. Brief Description of the Drawings
[11] The above and other objects and features of the present invention will become apparent from the following description of the preferred embodiments given in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, in which:
[12] FlG. 1 is a perspective view of an inline skate according to the present invention;
[13] FlG. 2 is a side view of an inline skate according to the present invention;
[14] FlG. 3 is a side cross-sectional view of an inline skate according to the present invention; and
[15] FlG. 4 is a plan view showing a base having a plurality of air ventilating holes according to the present invention. Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
[16] Other objects and aspects of the invention will become apparent from the following description of the embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings, which is set forth hereinafter.
[17] FlGs. 1 through 3 show an inline skate according to the present invention.
[18] Referring to FlGs. 1 through 3, an inline skate according to the present invention
includes a boot 10, a base 20 of the boot 10 and a frame 30 with a plurality of wheels 32, which is attached at a center of the bottom of the base 20.
[19] The boot 10 is worn on a foot to support the foot and an ankle. Such a boot 10 has a common form including a tongue 18 for reducing a pressure applied to the foot which is made by tightening a lace through a lace hole 14.
[20] In order to improve the air-permeability, it is preferable that the air- ventilating holes may be formed at sides of the upper of the boot 10 or the boot 10 may be made of a fabric having a superior air-permeability.
[21] The boot 10 according to the present invention also includes the air-inlet pipe 24 for improving the air-permeability. The air-inlet pipe 24 forms an air-ventilating path 26 long in a length direction at one side or both sides of the base 20. The air- ventilating path 26 is formed in a venturi-pipe shape, which has a wider front inlet 26a, a wider rear inlet 26b and a gradually-narrower throat 26c. A plurality of air-ventilating holes 22 is formed at the base 20 above the air- ventilating pipe 24 to penetrate the base 20 including a slipsole of the boot 10 in order to allow an air to inflow from the air- ventilating path to the inside of the boot.
[22] As described above, the air-inlet pipe 24 is formed at one side or both sides not to be interfered by the frame 30, and the base 20 is separated from a ground level at a predetermined distance. Therefore, the air-inlet pipe 24 may be formed in various forms and shapes. It is preferable to form the air- ventilating path 26 of the air-inlet pipe 24 to have the narrower throat 26c at 2/3 of the air- ventilating path 26 in the length direction. However, the present invention is not limited thereby. That is, the throat 26c may be formed in other portion of the air- ventilating path 26.
[23] FlG. 4 shows the base 20 with the air- ventilating holes 22 formed.
[24] The air- ventilating holes 22 are formed to penetrate the base 20 vertically or at a predetermined inclined angle. Also, the air- ventilating holes 22 may be differently formed at base 20 around the front inlet 26a and the rear inlet 26b by penetrating the base 20 at different angles in order to inflow an air in different directions.
[25] The inline skate according to the present invention allows a skater to ride the inline skate with the instep and the ankle supported by the boot 10 as like as a conventional inline skate.
[26] When a skater rides the inline skate according to the present invention, the inline skate receives an air pressure made in proportional to a speed of riding the inline skate. The air inflows into the air-inlet pipe 24 formed the bottom of the boot 10, and the air travels along the air-ventilating path 26. Since the air-ventilating path 26 has the wider front and rear inlet 26a and 26b and the gradually-narrowed throat 26c, the air traveling speed increases when the air passes the gradually-narrowed throat 26c. Such an increased air traveling speed forces the air to inflow into the air ventilating holes 22
formed the base 20 above the air-inlet pipe 24. That is, the air inflows directly to the sole of the foot through the air- ventilating holes 20. Therefore, the entire air- permeability inside the boot 10 is improved and the temperature around the sole of the foot is cooled down.
[27] Such an air-ventilating unit according to the present invention may be the most useful for a summer which is a season makes a skater sweated a lot. And, it may be used in a spring and a fall as well. If a skater does not want to use the air- ventilating unit in a winter time, the air- ventilating holes 22 may be blocked by putting a slipsole at the inside bottom surface of the boot 10.
[28] While the present invention has been described with respect to certain preferred embodiments, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various changes and modifications may be made without departing from the scope of the invention as defined in the following claims.
