Abstract
An RFID tag (20) includes a relatively flat structure having a small aperture antenna (22) in the form of a polygon having electrically conductive sides. An integrated circuit chip (21) is secured to the flat structure within the central open within the polygon, and substantially equidistant from a pair of opposite sides of the polygon.
