Abstract
Patent of Invention for fixative stems orthodontic interarches that are understood by a metallic piece in a rectangular way, containing two (02) channels 1, being one of rectangular section 2 to receive the work arch 7 and another of closed circunferencial section 3 or open 4 both propitiate the joining of the put upon rigid arch 8. The fixative stems orthodontic interarches still possess in its superior surface 02 (two) screws of Allen, the first screw 5 to fix the work arch 7 and the second screw 6 to fix the put upon rigid arch 8.
Description
"FIXATIVE STEMS ORTHODONTIC INTERARCHES"
The present Patent of Invention has for objective fixative stems orthodontic interarches, for use in orthodontic and similar apparels and to which original elaboration was given, so that it can improve the acting and effectiveness of the same ones, for instance, in the cases of dental distancing related to the similar ones already existent.
They are already known several dental distancing apparels, some with anchorage support in the palate: Distal Jet, Jones Jig, Pendulum etc, support directly in brackets, for instance: helical springs open of compression, support in vestibular mucous membrane, for instance: Plates lip-actives, associated to elastic inter-maxillaries and even supports out of the mouth, for instance:
Arches Extra-buccal with high, average and low traction.
In that weighs to the wide use of resources for dental distancing, some inconveniences can be attributed to them such as dependence of the patient's collaboration in the use of the accessories, discomfort and hygiene difficulty caused by plates fixed in the buccal palatine mucous membrane (roof of the mouth), loss of results of the dental distancing and use of prosthetic laboratories.
Take in view those problems and in the purpose of overcoming them, it was idealized the making of fixative stems orthodontic interarches that propitiate the joining to the work arch of an put upon
rigid arch, joining by this means a reinforcement to the rigidity and immobilization of the system, making possible the use of dental anchorage where the applied forces will be better distributed and then more compatible biomechanically, given to the increase of the proportionate physical characteristics by the association of the put upon rigid arch to the work arch. The distancing helical springs will not be more installed in the work arch but in the put upon rigid arch, they will not be more worked against the brackets of the teeth but against the fixative stems orthodontic interarches and them to the work arches, avoiding undesirable mesial displacement of the teeth of the anchorage battery and also providing dissipation of the forces the whole system of dental anchorage, in a way more equal distributed and defining biomechanic results more favorable, also substituting the use of some apparels by the patient, as much intra as extra-buccals with a use more complex than the mentioned previously.
This assembly form solves the approached inconveniences once it creates a extremely rigid, fixed and distributed system of forces, creating the professional's independence related to the patient's collaboration, reducing great part of the discomfort caused to the same for some apparels, and also creating easiness in the installation for the own professional, avoiding the need of use of prosthetic laboratory, which should also reduce costs, time and operational difficulties. The attached drawings show the disposition of the dental distancing apparel, containing fixative stems
orthodontic interarches, which is object of the present patent, which are:
Fig 1 shows individually the fixative stems orthodontic interarches in a closed way, in perspective;
Fig 2 shows individually the fixative stems orthodontic interarches in an open way, in perspective;
Fig 3 shows the put upon rigid arch being put in the fixative stems orthodontic interarches (caudal skull view);
Fig 4 shows the mounted apparel, containing the minimum number of 03 (three) fixative stems orthodontic interarches (occlusal view);
Fig 5 shows the mounted apparel, containing the maximum number of 09 (nine) fixative stems orthodontic interarches (occlusal view).
In conformity with all illustrated by the figures above related, the model of fixative stems orthodontic interarches, object of the present patent, consists of a group of individual metallic pieces in a rectangular way, containing 02 (two) channels 1 , being one of rectangular section 2 to receive the work arch 7 and the another of closed circunferencial section 3 or open circunferencial 4 both propitiate the joining of an put upon rigid arch 8. The fixative stems orthodontic interarches still possess in its superior part 02 (two)
screws of Allen, the first screw 5 to fix the work arch 7 and the second screw 6 to fix the put upon rigid arch 8.
The work arch 7 will be concluding the alignment phases and dental leveling and it will be installed and juxtaposed to the all of the brackets 9 and fixed to them by steel strings in a conjugated way, which will be agglutinated and banded to all the teeth 10. At this time, the fixative stems orthodontic interarches 1 should be installed and ready to receive the put upon rigid arch 8 that will receive helical springs open of compression 11 in its extremity distal for its time.
The fixative stems orthodontic interarches will logically be able to be produced with other fixation systems beyond of screws of Allen, as for instance for compression, for solder, for strings, etc...
Claims
1 ) "FIXATIVE STEMS ORTHODONTIC INTERARCHES", comprising of a metallic piece in a rectangular way, containing 02 (two) channels 1 , being one of rectangular section 2 to receive the work arch 7 and the another of closed circunferencial section 3 or open circunferencial 4 to receive the put upon rigid arch 8. The fixative stems orthodontic interarches still possess in its superior surface 02 (two) screws of Allen, the first screw 5 to fix the work arch 7 and the second screw 6 to fix the put upon rigid arch 8, characterized by the fact that the fixative stems orthodontic interarches 1 interconnect the work arch 7 to an put upon rigid arch 8 provoking immobilization and reciprocal anchorage of both by screws of Allen 5 and 6 respectively.
