- the latching lugs 26 can also be arranged axially centrally (symmetrically) relative to the ring section 32, in which case the latching lugs 26 are designed or arranged asymmetrically in the circumferential direction. According to FIG. 13, it is additionally provided that the latching shoulders 26 differ from each other with respect to their circumferential angular extent. Again, the openings 28 of the base member 18 are adjusted accordingly. Also by this alternative embodiment, a false assembly of the spring clip 24 is excluded.
- additional securing means against unintentional loosening or removal of the spring clip 24 are provided in an acted upon by an internal system pressure operating state of the connecting device 1.
- the spring clip 24 on the front sides of the locking lugs 26 web-like securing portions 38, the occurrence of an axially acting in the release direction (arrow 40) of the male portion 6 Lgreetezugkraft F z by an axial entrainment movement the spring clip 24 via the clamping ring 8 and the insert 20, the associated Openings 28 of the base member 18 radially and axially engage behind so that the spring clip 24 is locked against radial spreading.
- This condition is shown in Figs. 3 and 4.
- a movement in the plug-in direction (arrow 42) must first take place from this blocking position in order to move the spring clip 24 over an axial movement clearance into a release position in which the spring clip 24 can be removed radially together with the securing sections 38.
- the axial movement of the locking lugs 26 must be dimensioned within the openings 28 so that the locking lugs 26 can be performed with the securing portions 38 in the release position through the openings 28 to the outside.
- a circumferential seal 46 is arranged in the receiving opening 4 of the housing part 2 in a axially between the insert member 20 with the clamping ring 8 and a deeper in the receiving opening 8 lying counter surface 44 as the actual media seal (main seal) , which is preferably formed by an O-ring.
- a seal assembly for dirt seal against ingress of dirt and the like is also provided.
- the insert 20 has two outer, axially on both sides of the locking groove 30 arranged circumferential seal 48 and 50 for sealing engagement with the inner surface of the base member 18 axially on both sides of the openings 28.
- the insert part 20 in the region of its insertion-side mouth on an inner peripheral seal 52 for sealing support on the inserted plug-in section 6.
- the insert member 20 is formed together with the peripheral seals 48, 50 and 52 as a multi-component molded part made of plastic.

- the clamping ring 8 has an outer cone 54 with two axially adjacent outer cone sections 54a and 54b in adaptation to the inner cone sections 16a, 16b of the insert part 20.
- the first cone angle ⁇ i is in the range of 10 ° to 25 °, in particular about 15 °.
- the second cone angle 0: 2 is preferably in the range of 40 ° to 50 °, in particular about 45 °.
- the clamping ring 8 is formed as an annular body, in particular made of metal, and has a continuous slot interruption 56 at one peripheral location, as a result of which the clamping ring 8 is radially elastically deformable.
- the clamping ring 8 has a radially inwardly directed tooth edge 58 whose diameter in a relaxed, not elastically deformed state of the clamping ring 8 is smaller than the outer diameter of the plug-in section 6 to be inserted.
- the tooth edge 58 is formed by a sawtooth-like tooth profile 60 between a conical front surface 62 and a radial rear surface 64 (see in particular Fig. 10).
- the clamping ring 8 is slightly radially spread (whereby it is supported axially on the circumferential seal 46) until the plug-in section 6 can be pushed through the clamping ring 8.
- the clamping ring 8 is then due to its tooth edge 58 initially frictionally on the circumference of the plug portion 6. This is frictionally entrained in a pull in the release direction 40 of the clamping ring 8 until its outer cone 54 for contact with the inner cone 16 of the housing part 2 and the insert part 20th arrives.
- the clamping ring 8 is formed in cooperation with the inner cone 16 and with respect to its geometry in the region of the tooth edge 58 such that the plug portion 6 optional with at least one retaining groove 66 (see Fig. 3 and in particular Fig. 18 to 20) for positive engagement of the tooth edge 58 or (as shown in FIG. 4) with a smooth, cylindrical peripheral surface 68 for form or at least positive locking engagement of the tooth edge 58 may be formed can.
- the embodiment described above with the two inner cone sections 16a, 16b of the insert part 20 and the corresponding two outer cone sections 54a, 54b of the clamping ring 8 is of particular importance.
- the first, flatter cone sections 16a and 54a effect a secure engagement or cutting of the tooth edge 58 into smooth, cylindrical plug-in sections 6, even with relatively large diameter tolerances in the region of the plug section 6.
- the minimum incision about 0, 15 mm
- the change takes place from the shallower to the steeper cone section.
- the Einmonydlage is achieved after a shorter axial path.
- the Einmonydlage is achieved when the clamping ring 8 rests with its inner peripheral surface 76 (see FIGS. 9 and 10) radially on the outer peripheral surface of the plug portion 6. Due to the shortened axial path results in a shorter required axial cone length. Furthermore, due to the shorter axial travel, no unacceptable axial expansion of the installation space for the circumferential seal 46 (O-ring) into the region of the inner cone 16 occurs.
- the clamping ring 8 has a contact contour for the peripheral seal 46 arranged in the receiving opening 4 for sealing support on the plug-in section 6 on its rear side pointing in the insertion direction 42.
- This contact contour initially consists of a slightly conical centering bevel 70, over which the clamping ring 8 automatically centered by contact with the circumferential seal 46, when it is moved axially when inserting the plug-in section 6 from the inner cone 16.
- a ring projection 72 is formed such that is extended by this the outer cone portion 54a in the insertion direction.
- Radially inwardly the centering bevel 70 merges into a radial end face 74.
- the clamping ring 8 preferably has three secant-like flattenings 78 in its outer circumferential region, by which the annular cross-section is reduced zonally so that articulation zones and spring arm sections connected thereto are formed. This contributes to an improvement of the radially elastic deformability of the clamping ring 8.
- the preferably three flats 78 are arranged in particular distributed to the slot interruption 56 and radially symmetrically to each other.
- connection dome 80 has for the line connection to a connecting pin 80, on which the line 14 can be plugged.
- This connection dome 80 has a mandrel profile with several, for example, three barb-like tooth edges 82. It is preferably provided here that the diameters of the tooth edges 82 increase successively from the free end of the connection dome 80. This results in a "fir-tree-like profile" in that an envelope surface 84 defined by the outer tips of the tooth edges 82 (indicated by dashed lines in FIG. 21) is slightly conical.
- This advantageous embodiment of the connecting pin 80 is suitable as a universal mandrel for media lines with different inner diameters.
- the connection pin 80 advantageously has at its free end a short cylindrical section 85, which facilitates insertion into the media line 14 by its outer diameter is slightly less than the line inner diameter.
- the plug-in portion 6 of the molded plug 12 has two axially offset annular grooves 66 for engagement of the clamping ring 8 on the one hand in a partially inserted Vorrast ein and on the other hand in a fully plugged full detent position of the plug portion 6.
- the pre-locking position there is a defined limited, in particular acoustically perceptible, leak, while in the full detent position, a media-tight seal is ensured.
- axial leakage paths are formed, preferably by a respective zone 86 of the plug portion 6 with axially extending, distributed over the circumference, groove-like depressions 88th
- plug 12 may form an adapter between different measurement systems on the plug side and on the line side.
- the plug-in side can be designed according to SAE in the imperial measurement system in order to also be able to plug straight-line SAE lines
- the line side can be designed in the metric measurement system according to DIN or universally by the special design of the connection pin 80 for both mentioned dimensional systems ,
- connection device 1 is also suitable for direct plug connection of a relatively flexible hose line by being supported radially inwardly by the support sleeve 90 against the radial force of the clamping ring 8.
- the base part 18 is preferably formed together with the support sleeve 90 as a one-piece molded part made of plastic.
- the housing part 2 is formed as Einpresspatrone with an insertable into a connection opening of any unit part, not shown, insertion portion 92.
- this insertion portion 92 is slightly tapered running and has on its outer periphery on the one hand an annular groove 94 for a seal, not shown, and on the other hand, an annular groove 96 for a likewise not shown holding element.
- the sealing ring groove 94 should be closer to the inserted end of the insertion portion 92 as the retaining element annular groove 96. As a result, damage to the sealing area is avoided by the retaining element during insertion within the receiving opening.
- FIGS. 15 to 17 A separate, pin-like mounting tool 100 will be described with reference to FIGS. 15 to 17, which is expedient for a simple, correct position insertion of the internal components in the base part 18.
- the assembly tool 100 consists of a handle portion 102 and a shaft portion 104 with holding zones for the components to be used.
- the shank portion 104 has a first holding zone 106 for the inner peripheral seal 46 and the clamping ring 8 and a second holding zone 108 for the insert part 20.
- the shaft section 104 is subdivided in certain regions by longitudinal slots 110 into radially spring-elastic spring arms 112. At the free end of the shaft portion 104, the spring arms 112 but via connecting portions 114 with each other in Connected circumferential direction.
- the spring arms 112 have in their at the free, in the direction of insertion end facing areas radial retaining cam 116 for the peripheral seal 46 and - indirectly on the peripheral seal 46 - for the clamping ring 8 and the insert 20. As can be seen from FIG. 17, due to the radial elasticity of the spring arms 112, first the insert part 20 and subsequently the clamping ring 8 and the circumferential seal 46 can be axially seated on the shaft section 104.
- the shaft portion 104 additionally in the area between the retaining cam 116 and the second holding zone 108 for the insert part 20 radial actuating cam 118 in the way that upon withdrawal of the assembly tool 100 and the shaft portion 104 from the previously shown in FIG. 17 in the base part 18 inserted parts are deformed so far radially inward on the actuation cam 118 to be moved through the insert member 20 actuating cam 118, that the retaining cams 116 substantially contact and friction, in particular by the clamping ring 8 and the tooth edge 58 are movable therethrough.
- connection device 1 in principle, such an assembly tool with the described advantageous functions is also suitable independently of the connection device 1 according to the invention for similar applications in which it depends on a partially non-contact extraction. Therefore, an independent protection is claimed for the assembly tool.
