Abstract

The invention relates to an interactive control and warning system for land vehicles. The inventive system comprises a plurality of devices which are installed in vehicles, signals, trains, public service areas and others (2a, ..., 2n, 3a, ...3n, 4, 5) such as to form a network for the transmission of messages and information in order to facilitate drivers travelling along roads and thoroughfares. Each of the aforementioned devices (1) comprises: a positioning module (12); a microprocessor (11); a graphical display screen (16) and a voice synthesiser (14) or a memory element which is used to store pre-recorded messages and which is connected to a loudspeaker (15) for playing back verbal, acoustic and/or graphical messages; and a module (13) for transmitting and receiving warning messages to/from other vehicles or objects (2a, ..,2n, 3a, ...3n, 4, 5) in order to send and/or receive information relating to a position, state, operating condition or incident, thereby notifying drivers and/or users of approaching accident black spots, traffic signals (3a, ...3b), other vehicles (2a, ...2n, 4) on the thoroughfare and possible imminent traffic risks.
