Description

DEVICE IN CONNECTION WITH MAKEUP
Technical Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a device in connection with makeup, said device being in the shape of card, that the card comprises an image of a face, and that cosmetic is exposed at least on one chosen portion of the face.
Prior Art So called makeup cards are previously known, said cards showing a face of a woman and which parts of the face that should be coated by cosmetics. The card also comprises "islands" with different cosmetic preparations that are to be applied on the areas that are marked on the face of a woman. Certain cards have also clear figure indications as regards the areas where the different cosmetic preparations are to be applied. Corresponding figure indications are related to the "islands" of cosmetics.
Objects and Features of the Invention
A primary object of the present invention is to show a device of the type defined above, said device at least to a certain degree should give instructions for the makeup without explaining text. Still an object of the present invention is to also give instructions concerning the shape of the portions to be coated by cosmetics.
At least the primary object of the present invention is realized by means of a device that has been given the features of the pending independent claim 1. Preferred embodiments of the invention are defined in the dependent claims.
Brief Description of the Drawings
Below preferred embodiments of the invention will be described, reference being made to the enclosed drawings, where : Figure 1 shows a schematic perspective view of a first embodiment of a device according to the present invention; Figure 2 shows a schematic perspective view of a second embodiment of a device according to the present invention; and
Figure 3 shows a schematic perspective view of the embodiment according to figure 2 viewed from the opposite side.
Detailed Description of Preferred Embodiments of the Invention
The embodiment shown in figure 1 of a device according to the present invention comprises a card/a pocket 1 that according to the disclosed embodiment is divided in three sections. One section 3 is double-walled and hence an internal space 5 is defined between the walls. On one side of the double-walled section 3 an image of a face of a woman is provided, e.g. said face may be in the shape of a drawing or a photograph.
As is evident from figure 1 the face of the woman is equipped with a first set of circular openings that are arranged at different parts of the face according to a specific pattern. Thus, a first circular opening 7 is provided in the area of the mouth of the face, a second circular opening 9 is provided in the area of the cheek of the face, a third circular opening 10 is provided in the area of the portion between the eye and the adherent eyebrow and a fourth circular opening 11 is provided in the area of a closed eyelid of the face.
The device according to the present invention, shown in figure 1, also comprises a blister-package 15 that in its turn comprises a carrier 16, e.g. in the shape of a card board. In the carrier 16 a second set of circular openings is provided, each opening being equipped with a bubble of stiff, transparent plastic. Thus, a first bubble 17 is provided in the lower region of the carrier 16, said first bubble 17 will be exposed in the first opening 7 when the carrier 16 is completely inserted in the space 5. The insertion of the carrier 16 in the space 5 is illustrated by the arrow 12.
The blister-package 15 also comprises a second and third bubble 18 and 19 respectively, that are provided on the left side of the carrier 16, in connection with the orientation of the carrier 16 that is shown in figure 1. The second and third bubble 18, 19 will be exposed in the second and third opening 9 and 10 respectively, when the carrier 16 is inserted in the space 5. The blister-package 15 also comprises a fourth bubble 20 that is provided on the right side of the carrier 16 as seen in figure 1. This fourth bubble 20 will be exposed in the fourth opening 11 when the carrier 16 is inserted in the space 5.
The blister-package 15 comprises a number of protective foils on its backside, i.e. the side that is not visible in figure 1, said foils being located centrally to the bubbles
17-20. In the space that is defined by a bubble 17-20 and the adherent protective foil different types of cosmetics are received. Thereby, the cosmetic is normally in the shape of a paste or a cream. In the space that is defined by the first bubble 17 and the adherent protective foil the type of cosmetic is received that normally is included in a lipstick. In the space that is defined by the second bubble 18 and the adherent protective foil cosmetic is received that normally constitutes rouge. In the space that is defined by the third bubble 19 and the adherent protective foil cosmetic is normally received that is applied to the skin portion that is located between an eyebrow and an adherent eyelid. In the space that is defined by the fourth bubble 20 and the adherent protective foil cosmetic is received that normally constitutes eyeshadow.
When the embodiment of the present invention that is shown in figure 1 and described above is to be used by a user the blister-package 15 is removed from its space. Then the user opens the protective foil to the bubble whose cosmetic is to be used. It is feasible that the protective foil is reclosable, this enabling the cosmetic to be used at several occasions. When the user has opened the protective foil of further bubbles and applied the cosmetics of said bubbles on the intended portion of the face the use of the device according to the present invention is completed. The blister- package 15 may now again be inserted in the space 5.
The alternative embodiment of the present invention, shown in figures 2 and 3, also comprises a card 101 in three sections, a section 103 of said card has an image of a face of a woman, e.g. said face may be in the shape of a drawing or in the shape of a photograph.
As is evident from figure 2 the face of a woman is equipped with a first set of circular openings 106-109, 113, 114 that are provided on different parts of the face according to a specific pattern. Thus, a circular opening 107 is provided in the area of the mouth of the face while another circular opening is provided in the area of the cheek of the face. The other openings 106, 108, 113, 114 are provided on other arts of the face.
As is most evident from figure 3 this embodiment also comprises a blister-package 115 that in its turn comprises a carrier, e.g. in the shape of a plastic sheet, said carrier facing the section 103, see figure 3. In the embodiment according to figures 2 and 3 the blister-package is attached to the section 103 in a suitable way, e.g. by means of double- adhesive tape or glue. As is evident from figure 3 a flap 104 of the card 101 must be folded to give the user access to the blister package 115. In a corresponding way as with the carrier 16 a second set of circular openings are provided in the carrier, a bubble of stiff, transparent plastic being provided in each opening. Thus, a number of bubbles 117, 118, 121-124 are provided on the carrier and oriented in such a way that each bubble 117, 118, 121-124 is exposed in one of the openings 106-109, 113, 114 of the section 103, see figure 2.
The blister-package 115 comprises on its backside, i.e. the side that is visible in figure 3, a protective foil 125 that in the shown embodiment covers the entire blister-package 115. In the spaces that are defined by a bubble 117, 118,
121-124 and the adherent protective foil 125 different types of cosmetics are received. Thereby, the cosmetic is normally in the shape of a paste or a cream. The protective foil 125 is equipped with weakenings 126 to enable that only a selected portion of the protective foil 125 is removed to give access to a chosen bubble 117, 118, 121-124. The portions of the protective foil 125 are preferably reclosable, i.e. when the user has torn away a chosen portion of the protective foil 125 and taken the desired amount of cosmetic the chosen portion of the protective foil 125 may be reclosed. Thereby, the cosmetic that has not been used may be used at a later occasion. In order to provide this possibility of reclosure the portions of the protective foil 125 and the carrier should be designed in such away that adhesion takes place between the protective foil 125 and carrier in connection with the reclosure. It could also be suitable that the protective foil is manufactured from a transparent material to enable the user to see the colour of the cosmetic in the different bubbles when the user looks at the blister-package 115 in the view shown in figure 3.
As regards the possibility of reclosure of the protective foil and that the foil is manufactured from a transparent material, these features may also be applicable in connection with the embodiment described in figure 1.
Feasible Modifications of the Invention
As is evident from figures 1, 2 and 3 the shown cards are in three sections. On the sections being void of a face further instructions about the makeup may be given. Of course, the cards do not need to have three sections. In its most simple design the cards need only to have one section that shows a face.
In the embodiment described above in connection with figures 1-3 the bubbles 17-20; 117, 118, 122-124 are circular in top view. Within the scope of the present invention it is feasible that the bubbles in top view have a shape that corresponds to the shape of the portion of the face where the cosmetic is applied. Thus, the bubble that is provided in connection with the lips of the face may have shape of a mouth in top view.
In both embodiments described above of the present invention five and six different types of cosmetics are provided in connection with the face. Of course, the invention is in no way restricted to this number. Within the scope of the invention both a higher and a fewer number of types of cosmetics may be present.
In the embodiments described above the exposed types of cosmetics are not completely symmetrically arranged. Of course the present invention comprises also a completely symmetrical arrangement of exposed cosmetics on both halves of the face.
