Description

Description
ROLLER TYPE SKIN TREATMENT DEVICE FOR CRYOSURGERY AND CRYO-SKIN TREATMENT
Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to a medical skin treatment device, and more particularly, to a roller-type skin treatment device used to perform cryosurgery and cryo skin-treatment on a lesion by using cryogenic liquid. Background Art
[2] As a medical technique that has been widely used to cure skin diseases such as dots, warts, and red spots, there is laser surgery for scanning and burning a corresponding lesion using laser to remove the lesion.
[3] However, the laser surgery has side effects of turning the skin black when a treated site is exposed to sunlight for a predetermined time and contaminating the treated site and forming pus when the treated site contacts water.
[4] In addition, a system body of a laser surgery instrument has a very large size, so that there are problems in that movement and management thereof are not easy. In addition, since a price of the instrument is high, high surgery costs are required.
[5] As another treatment method introduced to cure the skin diseases, there is skin cryosurgery for cooling a lesion to have a very low temperature. To do this, conventionally, a large cyro-system using heat of vaporization of liquid nitrogen has been widely used. In this case, there are problems in that a construction of the system is complex, management is not easy, and a slow cooling rate may cause inconvenience.
[6] As a technique associated with skin cooling, Korea Patent Application Laid-Open
No. 2004-34039 (a skin cooler using a thermoelectric device) discloses a device for cooling a local site of the skin by using endothermic reaction of the thermoelectric device.
[7] However, when the thermoelectric device is used as a cooling device, there is a problem in that a cryogenic temperature cannot be easily provided. In addition, devices such as a radiator for radiating heat of heater that is at the opposite side to a heat absorber in the thermoelectric device or a power source are necessarily included, so that a construction of the device is complex. Disclosure of Invention
Technical Problem
[8] The present invention provides a roller-type skin treatment device which contains cryogenic liquid in a body of the device and has a structure for cooling a lesion in a rolling contact manner. [10] According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a roller- type skin treatment device used for cryosurgery and cryo skin-treatment, including: a porous roller which includes a number of pores that absorb and contain cryogenic liquid; a shaft which penetrates the axis of rotation of the porous roller and is fit into the porous roller so that the porous roller rotates; and a handle which is fixed to the shaft in a rod type.
[11] In the above aspect of the present invention, the porous roller may be one of a metal block, a ceramic block, and a polymer block.
[12] In addition, the shaft may be integrated into the handle in one body, and the handle may extend in a direction perpendicular to a direction of a length of the shaft.
[13] In addition, the middle circumference of the porous roller may be concave as compared with both edge portions of the porous roller. Brief Description of the Drawings
[14] The attached drawings for illustrating exemplary embodiments of the present invention are referred to in order to gain a sufficient understanding of the present invention with the detailed description of the present invention. Therefore, the present invention is not construed to be limited to particulars illustrated in the drawings.
[15] FIG. 1 is a perspective view illustrating an outer appearance of a roller-type skin treatment device according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[16] FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view taken along line H-H' of FIG. 1.
[17] FIG. 3 is a perspective view illustrating an outer appearance of a roller-type skin treatment device according to another embodiment of the present invention. Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
[18] Hereinafter, exemplary embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the attached drawings. Terms and words used in the description and the claims are not construed as being limited to conventional meanings in dictionaries, but are construed to have meanings and concepts corresponding to the spirit and scope of the present invention based on a principle that the inventor can properly define concepts of the terms in order to explain the invention in the best way. Therefore, since embodiments described in the description and constructions illustrated in the drawings are only exemplary embodiments of the present invention and do not speak for all of the sprit and scope of the present invention, it will be understood that various changes in form and details may be made therein at the filing date.
[19] FIG. 1 is a perspective view illustrating an outer appearance of a roller- type skin treatment device according to an embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view taken along line H-H' of FIG. 1.
[20] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, the roller- type skin treatment device according to the embodiment of the present invention includes a porous roller 100 which directly contacts a lesion when cryosurgery or cryo skin-treatment is performed and can contain cryogenic liquid, a shaft 102 that is disposed at the axis of rotation of the porous roller 100, and a handle 103 which is fixed to the shaft 102 in a rod type.
[21] The porous roller 100 is full except for the axis of rotation into which the shaft 102 is inserted and is constructed with a block made of a porous material having a number of pores 101 that absorb and contain cryogenic liquid. Here, the porous material may employ a porous metal, a ceramic, or a polymer.
[22] As illustrated in FIG. 3, a porous roller 100 has a structure in which the middle circumference of the porous roller 100 is concave as compared with both edge portions thereof. According to this structure, a surface of the porous roller 100 can uniformly contact a site of a disease such as a wart that protrudes from a surface of the skin.
[23] The cryogenic liquid contained in the porous roller 100 may employ refrigerants such as liquid nitrogen. The liquid nitrogen absorbed in the porous roller 100 does not easily leak due to a capillary phenomenon, so that a state where the liquid nitrogen is contained in the porous roller 100 can be maintained for a long time.
[24] The shaft 102 penetrates the axis of rotation of the porous roller 100 and is fit into the porous roller 100 so that the porous roller 100 can rotate. To do this, the shaft 102 may have a diameter smaller than that of a penetrating hole that penetrates the axis of rotation of the porous roller 100. Alternatively, predetermined bearings may be provided between the shaft 102 and the penetrating hole.
[25] The handle 103 is connected to an end portion of the shaft 102 in one body, is bent to have a shape of U with the shaft 102, and extends in a direction perpendicular to a direction of a length of the shaft 102 in a rod type. Here, the other end portion of the shaft 102 may be bent so as not to be separated from the porous roller 100 or be tightened with a predetermined screw.
[26] Since the handle 103 is grasped by a hand of a user, the handle 103 may be made of a material that has a low heat conductivity and does not generate Galvanic corrosion with the porous roller 100.
[27] The roller-type skin treatment device having the aforementioned construction according to the embodiment of the present invention is used for cryosurgery and cyro skin-treatment by using cryogenic liquid such as the liquid nitrogen as a working refrigerant.
[28] More specifically, when the handle 103 is grasped by the hand and the porous roller
100 is dipped in a container for containing the liquid nitrogen, the liquid nitrogen is absorbed and contained in the body through the pores 101 of the porous roller 100. Thereafter, the handle 103 is moved forward and backward and is rolled on a lesion of a disease such as a dot, a wart, and a red spot to rapidly cool the corresponding lesion. Here, operations of removing or anesthetizing tissue of the lesion that are performed after cooling the corresponding lesion are performed according to well known cryosurgery and cyro skin treatment, so that detailed description thereof is omitted.
[29] The state where the liquid nitrogen is contained in the porous roller 100 is continuously maintained, so that the porous roller 100 can be used for a long time. In addition, when the liquid nitrogen evaporates excessively and a temperature of the porous roller 100 increases above an allowable level, the porous roller 100 may be dip into the container for containing the liquid nitrogen again to be refilled with the liquid nitrogen.
[30] While the present invention has been particularly shown and described with reference to exemplary embodiments thereof, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that various changes in form and details may be made therein without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention as defined by the appended claims. Industrial Applicability
[31] The roller- type skin treatment device according to the present invention can be used for cryosurgery and cryo skin-treatment by dipping a porous roller in a refrigerant and contacting a tip portion to a lesion, so that the roller-type skin treatment device can be conveniently used. In addition, the roller-type skin treatment device has a simple structure and can be easily used. In addition, an additional power source is not required, so that the roller-type skin treatment device is economic and does not have a safety problem.
[32] Particularly, according to the present invention, the lesion is cooled by a rolling contact method, so that a cooling efficiency for the lesion further increases.
[33] In addition, rolling contact corresponding to a protruding structure of the lesion is possible, so that a lesion contact area further increases.
