Abstract

The present disclosure concerns a novel design and approach to construction of furnishings for the outdoor environment, specifically outdoor furniture and accessories comprise of artificial turf (12), specifically a particular type of artificial turf which gains only six degrees of heat about the outdoor ambient temperature. This is advantageous, especially in hot environments such as the Arizona desert, where the ambient temperature reaches 100-120 degrees regularly during the summer months. In addition to stools (10), lawn fiirniture, benches, bleachers and cushions, this disclosure envisions coolers (98) and grills (110) encased in enclosures covered with the artificial turf, and specifically including, for example, a lightweight durable galvanized steel tube (22) with a removable top comprised of the foam and turf cushion. Thus, the tube can also double as a stool when not being used for grilling or removing beverages from the cooler. Finally, the disclosed furniture, accessories and turf tubes also provide key branding and advertising space and opportunities.
