Abstract
A mechanical device has a base body (1) and at least one element (2) which is mounted in at least one bearing (3) so as to be movable relative to the base body (1). The bearing (3) is lubricated by means of a lubricant. Arranged on or in the base body (1) is a sensor device (5) which has at least one lubricant sensor (6) which is arranged in the vicinity of the bearing (3) and is in contact with the lubricant. At least one first electric variable, which is characteristic of a first lubricant-quantity-independent property of the lubricant, can be determined by the lubricant sensor (6). The sensor device (5) can output at least one first signal which is dependent on the first electric variable.
