Abstract

The invention relates to an implantable medical device (1) including at least one inflatable chamber (2), the volume of which can be modified with the injection or removal of an inflation fluid, characterised in that the device includes a pressure limiting means (4) intended to be implanted inside the patient and provided with a reversible relief member (11) designed to enable excess inflation fluid to flow from the inflatable chamber (2) and arranged to adopt alternatively a closed configuration when the fill pressure is less than or equal to a critical pressure value and an open configuration when the fill pressure exceeds the critical pressure, such as to maintain the fill pressure substantially below the critical pressure.
