Abstract

A rotor pole crossover connection joint (10A) for use in a rotating electrical machine is disclosed. The connection joint (10A) integrally couples a bottom rotor coil strap (18) to a rotor pole crossover (16) and a single piece connector (12A) that reduces, distributes or otherwise tolerates stress concentrations in the connector (12A). A corresponding method of forming a rotor pole crossover connection joint and a rotor assembly including a rotor pole crossover connection joint (10A) are also disclosed.
