Abstract

The invention relates to a lighting system (1) comprising a lighting unit (2) which is configured to emit a beam of light that can be modified with respect to its shape, color distribution and/or brightness distribution, a device (5) for optically detecting objects and/or living beings (11, 12) present in the zone that can be lighted by the lighting unit (2), and means (8) for controlling the lighting unit (2) to adjust the shape, color distribution and/or brightness distribution of the beam of light depending on the detected objects and/or living beings (11, 12). The invention is characterized in that the optical paths (6, 7) of the lighting unit (2) and the optical detection device (5) extend in parallel.
