Abstract
This publication describes a method and system for identifying a person based upon the characteristics of his or her eye(s). Currently known identification methods are based upon capturing one or more images of a person's eye(s), after which said image(s) are analyzed in order to identify said person. Today's eye recognition is susceptible to various falsification and fraudulent undertakings, for example by means of a printed image or contact lens representing the iris of another person. In the identification method and system according to the present invention, characteristics of a person's eye(s) are observed in a continuous identification process, and based upon said observed characteristics of said eye(s), said person can be identified in a reliable manner.
