Abstract

In a method for operating an RFID transponder (1), the transponder (1) comprises first and second antennas (5, 6) and receives a reader signal with its antennas (5, 6), wherein the reader signal is transmitted by a reader (20) utilizing an electro -magnetic field (23). The first antenna (5) generates a first signal and the second antenna (6) generates a second signal in response to the received reader signal. Then, a third signal is generated and sent to the reader (20), wherein the third signal is indicative of at least one value of the first and second signals, and/or at least one transponder parameter of the transponder (1) is set dependent on at least one value of the first and second signals.
