Abstract

The invention relates to the representation of the addresses of Internet resources placed in the Internet, in particular to a web site with a database containing references to an Internet resource and to individual assigned thereto alphabetic, digital and alphanumeric codes or to a code using other signs and/or symbols. Said invention makes it possible for the author of a printed or electronic edition to simplify the compilation and publication of references to Internet resources by using in the editions a shorter code which corresponds to the complete address of the Internet resource. The web server is designed in such a way that it is accessible in the Internet either directly, via the web site, or via another server, on which said web site is placed and via the interface of which the user interacts with the database for enabling the user-author to establish the correlation, via the web site, between the complete reference to the address of the Internet resource and the shorter code thereof in the data base. In order to access the Internet resource, it is necessary to call said web site and to introduce the shorter code which is issued by the author and corresponds to the complete address of the Internet resource.

The present invention relates to methods of digital computing or data processing, specifically designed for information retrieval; database structures for this purpose [G06F 17/30].

More specifically, the method can be used by the author of a publication, book, article, or other printed or electronic publication to simplify the compilation of a list of links to information sources (literature) due to those links to sources for which information is available on the Internet.

State of the art

The Internet is increasingly becoming an integral part of everyday life. The number of network users, as well as the amount of information located on the network, and more precisely on servers that are the main component of the network, is constantly growing.

The Internet has become a global repository of information in various fields of knowledge, to which media and people of various professions are increasingly referring. If a person needs to place a link to information posted on one of the many network servers in a print media, then this person needs to place this link as an Internet address, which often consists of several tens of characters. It will be obviously difficult for the reader of this print edition to get the information to which the link is given, since he needs to reprint this address without errors on his Internet access device (PC, mobile phone, etc.) into the address bar of the Internet browser. In addition, it is extremely difficult to remember or transfer such a link in the form of an Internet address to the necessary information placed on the network servers not in print (and generally where the visual channel for transmitting information is used), but in the process of transmission information where the main channel of communication is sound (communication orally, by phone, radio, etc.).

The patent US6023701 is known from the prior art, which describes a method for faster access to Internet resources of interest by expanding the functionality of the Favorites bookmark. The meaning is that in addition to the address of the visited resource, the user can set the browser mode due to which all (or some) Internet addresses to which the user went from the first page visited and grouped into categories will fall into the "Favorites" folder. Subsequently, the user can select the "depth" of the search for the desired resource in the "Favorites" tab.

The disadvantage of this method is that to quickly get to the desired site, the user must visit it in advance and add it to the Favorites folder of his browser. Also, there is no way in this way to simplify access to the resource of interest to other users. That is, each user must first visit this resource and add it to the Favorites folder. That is, access to the website is possible only through that terminal (and only through that Internet browser) of Internet access, the user of which was previously on this resource and added it to the Favorites folder. There is also no way to leave a comment on the Internet resource in the form of an additional text or graphic file. There is also no way to get simultaneous access to several sources of thematic information after entering the code.

In addition, there is no possibility of subsequent editing of information on a specific code with a link to the source of information, nor is the ability to edit the link itself. It is also impossible to access the Internet pages in the event of the termination of work (temporary or permanent) site.

The closest analogue is patent GB2375195, which describes the system as a kind of library data storage, which is formed by assigning each edition in electronic form an individual code, which is compiled according to a strictly defined algorithm, and in which data on a paper analogue of an electronic publication is encrypted (author, title, circulation, date of publication, ISBN, etc., as well as the number of each specific copy). For example, the book "Dop Quihote" should have the code "CSPNLIT 3". This number is used to search the library database for the electronic version of this book. At the same time, these codes are generated either by publishers of paper versions or their distributors who supply these books to libraries. And the library employees with access to the code base enter numbers into the database.

This system is essentially similar to the well-known universal decimal classification (UDC), with the only difference being that UDCs consist of only numbers and are created using a different algorithm, and that you can find a copy of the publication by the code by visiting the library and entering the desired code.

The disadvantage of the invention is that it is not possible for users to add any literary source of information of interest to the library database themselves, if not they are its authors or publishers. Also, it is not possible for the user to leave a comment on the Internet resource of the library with codes in the form of an additional text or graphic file. It is impossible to provide access to the Internet address of any site by any user and for any user on the network. There is also no way to get simultaneous access to several sources of thematic information after entering the code.

In addition, there is no possibility of subsequent editing of information on a specific code with a link to the source of information, nor is the ability to edit the link itself.

The technical result of the claimed invention is that the method allows to simplify the author of a book, article or other printed or electronic publication, by entering a shorter code, making a list of links to sources of information (literature) due to those links to sources, information about which is available in the Internet; the method also allows access to several information resources simultaneously after entering only one code, and also allows the user to supplement the contents of the displayed pages with contact, text or graphic information. In addition, the possibility of subsequent editing of text, graphic and contact information for a specific code with a link to the source of information, as well as the ability to edit the link itself.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The claimed technical result is achieved due to the fact that in a method of simplifying access to Internet resources posted on the Internet, links to which published in print and electronic publications, characterized by assigning links to Internet resources to individual alphanumeric, or alphanumeric codes, and the reader of printed and electronic publications gets access to Internet resources by accessing the Internet and entering a code, using at least one server, which contains a database, which in turn consists of a table of links to Internet resources and the individual alphanumeric, alphanumeric codes assigned to them, or codes using the use of other signs and / or symbols, moreover, this server is made accessible on the Internet through the website to the direct, or through another server on which the website is located, in turn through the interface of which the user and the database interact, at which the user transmits through the web site to the database the full link of the address of the Internet resource, after which, using software on the server of the web site, this address is added to the database and a unique code is assigned to it and the code is communicated to the user, and Spruce publishes and / or distributes this code.

Other possible variations of the method provide that the server hosting the encoding website is configured to copy pages of Internet resources that the user enters into the database to obtain the code.

The present invention overcomes the difficulties described above by providing a method for assigning a unique code to each Internet address. In the future, in order to obtain information of interest that is located on a server whose address has been entered in the database (and to which a unique code has been assigned accordingly), it will be enough for the user to form a request to the web site through the Internet access device and using the means of its interacting interface get the necessary information from the database.

To access the Internet can be used a PC, mobile phone, smartphone, communicator, PDA, etc. devices.

The method involves the use of at least one server, which contains a database, which in turn consists of a table of Internet addresses and the individual alphanumeric or alphanumeric codes assigned to them. This server is made available on the Internet directly or through another server that hosts the website, in turn, through the interface of which the user and the database interact.

Simultaneously with the display of information contained on Internet pages whose URLs correspond to the entered code, text and / or graphic comments corresponding to each Internet page whose URL and comments (in the form of text and / or graphic files) to which were previously added by the user are automatically displayed on the user terminal to the described base. The comments database may contain contact information for the author of the publication. The comment database can also be a database consisting of Internet addresses (URLs) indicating the location of Internet pages and the corresponding URLs for additional text and / or image files. When a user (see Fig. 1) (1) wants to make it easier for the reader (4) of his publication (3), of a book or article, access to information (7), which is available on the Internet to which he refers in the book, for this using the means of the access device (2) to the Internet through the network, it forms a request to the server (5), on which the encoding web site is located. Through the interface of the website, the user (1) transfers to the database (6) the website (5), which can be implemented as a separate server with a database of links for a server with a website (5), in the form of a URL (8) the full Internet address of the resource (7) located on the Internet. Also the user can transmit additional information in the form of his contact information (11), leave text (9) or graphic (10) comments on the link so that they serve as explanatory information on the link. For example, a text commentary (9) may contain clear indications of those places in the source of information (pages or lines), which explain what relates to its publication. A graphic commentary (10) in the form of a picture or animation can serve, for example, as a thematic indicator of what is reflected in the source of information at the URL link (8).

After transmitting information through the interface of the website, the latter generates (12) a unique code based on the program contained in it, issues it to the user (1) and saves it in the database (6) of the website (5).

After that, the user can place (13) the received code in his publication (3) so that it subsequently becomes available to the reader (4) or uses it to inform someone about the location of his information on the network .

When the reader (4) of a book (3) or an article wants to get the information referenced by its author (1) using a code, the reader (4) using any Internet access device (2) through the network forms a request to the server (5) Web site on which the base with codes is located. Through the interface of the website (5), the reader (4) transmits (enters) (14) a request in the form of a previously received code to the database. The program located on the server (5) searches for the address of the Internet link that corresponds to this code and redirects the reader (4) to the Internet address of the resource (7) via this link through the Internet, where the reader receives information of interest to him.

The server (5), on which the encoding website is located, can be configured to index pages of Internet resources that users enter into the database to obtain the code. Pre-indexing allows you to create a copy of all pages of Internet resources, so that in case of temporary or permanent unavailability of the server where this or that Internet resource is located, the server on which the website is located would issue a copy of the page from the Internet when the server is unavailable -resource. This will allow the reader to always get information through a code about a particular Internet resource under any circumstances, regardless of whether it is available on the network at the moment or not.

The server (5), on which the encoding website is located, can be configured to present the user with a choice to save several links to related Internet resources under one code. This allows the author of a book or article to significantly reduce the place in the list of literature due to the fact that under one link to one code the reader of the book will find many sources that describe this or that information in support of the author’s words. And the reader does not have to spend time analyzing the correspondence of the link to the source with a place in the text of the book or article where the link is given, since comments on the links will replace these needs.

At the same time, the reader, having entered the code, will get an access to the page through the website where all these links related to Internet resources will be displayed. In this regard, the advantage of being able to leave a comment to the library’s Internet resource with codes in the form of an additional text or graphic file is shown, since under each of the links to related Internet resources, you can leave an explanatory comment in the form of text and / or graphic file, which clearly give the user an understanding of which of the similar topics of Internet resources he should further open. The advantage of this feature is obvious in that, instead of an Internet link to a specific resource, which in itself does not carry any information, the reader will see a comment in the form of text and / or a graphic file.

The base of hyperlinks is a database consisting of Internet links that are assigned individual alphabetic, digital, codes based on other printed characters and signs, or combined codes.

This database is intended to replace Internet links with short alphabetic, digital or combined codes in print media (books, newspapers, magazines, etc.).

Codes are understood as a combination of several letters and / or numbers and / or characters. If the server on which the web site is located can be configured to present the user with the option to save several links to similar Internet resources under one code, then the code corresponds to one Internet link, which opens a page containing many links and / or comments in the form of text and / or a picture to them.

The base of hyperlinks is filled in by the database administrator and / or website visitors through the web interface.

An example implementation of the website interface (5) for the reader to enter the code (14) is shown in FIG. 2, and an example of the implementation of a web site interface (5) for a user to enter a URL link (8), as well as a comment (9) to it and / or a graphic image (10), and contact data (11) by a user (1) is shown in FIG. 3. The implementation of the method is shown in the block diagram of the diagram of FIG. 4. It is based on the following. Before a user (1) leaves a URL link (8) to a source of information (7) through a web site (5), he analyzes the availability of information on a given URL link on a web server (7). After making sure of its presence, and placing it in the field (8) (see Fig. 3), as well as indicating other information (9, 10, 11), the user sends a request through the program interface, which analyzes the correctness of the user filling in the information.

Checking the correctness of filling in the information can be implemented based on the algorithm shown in FIG. 5. If the URL link specified by the user (1) really exists, then the program generates (12) the code and then issues it (16) to the user. If the URL link provided by user (1) reflects a nonexistent or non-working web server (7) with a source of information, the website program (5) returns the user again to the data filling page shown in FIG. 3 with a possible comment that the specified link is incorrect.

If the reader (4) visits the website (5) to enter the code (14) (see Fig. 2), then the program of the website (5) checks (20) (see Fig. 5) for the presence of this code in the database (6), and if it is detected, redirects (18) the user's browser to the URL link corresponding to the code. As a result, the user gets access to the source of information (7) on the corresponding web server on the Internet.

If the user (1), who previously entered the code, wants to make adjustments to it, this can easily be implemented on the basis of user registration, which can be done automatically when filling out a form with data. This implements the ability to edit text, graphic and contact information on specific code with a link to the source of information, as well as the ability to edit the link itself.

For example, if a user entered his contact information (11) in the form of an e-mail address, then after registering the code, he will receive an automatically generated password for making changes to the e-mail address indicated by the user. Changes can be made by the user after entering the password (21) (see Fig. 6), which is then checked for correctness (22) and the correspondence of the password and user login in the database (6). If there is a match, then the user becomes available to edit the code profile: URL links, contact details, comments, images. After editing, the user can both save changes (24) and then write them to the database (6), and refuse changes.

If there is no matching password and user login in the database (6), the program returns the user again to enter the login and password. In this case, the login may be an e-mail address specified by the user.

The server on which the encoding web site is located can be configured to present to the user (1) a code selection (14) that will correspond to the link (8) of the Internet resource address (7). The implementation of this feature is achieved due to the fact that the ability to register the link (8) under the selected code (14) will be linked to whether this code (14) is already present in the database (6) of the website (5) or not. If the code (14) is already occupied by someone or is automatically generated by the website program (5), then the user (1) will be offered to choose another code (14). If the code selected by user (1) is not in the database, then the possibility of leaving it for the user by the program of the website (5) is allowed. An example implementation of an interface with the ability to present the user with a choice of code that will correspond to the address of an Internet resource is shown in FIG. 7.
