Abstract

1. Device and method for monitoring air conditioning units, and medicinal drugs and biological samples stored therein. 2.1 It is an object of the present invention to monitor air conditioning units especially during the clinical research and the distribution of pharmaceuticals in such a manner that not only the air conditioning units are monitored to ensure that the admissible temperature and humidity are maintained, but also the objects stored therein with their optionally deviating tolerances. Apart from alarm messages when measurement values are exceeded or not attained, a further objective is the automatic, object-oriented, comprehensive continuation of the measurement protocol. 2.2 A sensor (1), which is connected to a communication unit (3) via a cable (2), is added to each air conditioning unit. The measured values detected are sent to a computer (7) by the communication unit and combined in the computer to give a comprehensive measurement data history for all objects. 2.3 The inventive device and method allow the production of comprehensive measurement value protocols for all objects which are included in a clinical study and the complete and automatic monitoring of medicinal drugs during distribution.
