Dispositivo visor accesorio para armas de fuegoAccessory device for firearms
Sector técnico de Ia invenciónTechnical sector of the invention
The invention relates to an accessory sight device for firearms intended to allow distance from the eye of the gunner by using fiber optic cables or other means of image transmission.
Antecedentes de Ia invenciónBackground of the invention
In the use of rifles and other firearms a wide variety of optical systems mounted therein are used in order to help the shooter aim the gun more accurately at his target. Mostly known are the devices that increase the image of the focused objective, which can be calibrated and focused with great precision.
With the use of these devices, the shooter must position himself next to the weapon while he carries out the aiming and firing operations to be able to hit the target more safely. This can be a great inconvenience, for example, when the shooter wants to stay covered or when said point and shoot operations must be carried out while in motion.
In order to solve this problem, weapons devices are known which comprise a flexible cable provided with a plurality of optical fibers and coupled to the aiming point of the weapon at one end and at the other end to a sight element of the shooter, all this so that the image of the target to be shot is transmitted from the crosshairs to the eye of the shooter.
The main drawback of these devices is that they tend to be excessively complex and do not allow comfortable use, in addition to considerably increasing the costs of manufacturing the pampering. However, some proposals can be found to improve its versatility, such as document US5103567, which includes a support for maintaining an eyepiece, which acts as a vision element, in a fixed position in the weapon when it is not used. ; and a clamp mounted on the weapon to keep the eyepiece in a preferred position so that the shooter keeps the eyepiece away from the weapon when it is in operation, the clamp can be folded and left in a re-positioned position. caught when the weapon is not in operation. On the other hand, document US5711104 contemplates the registration or remote observation of the image pointed by other means such as cameras. However, these embodiments are complex and impractical. The lack of devices for weapons that allow wider firing positions, to aim more quickly and more accurately, regardless of the relative position between the head of the shooter and the aiming point of the weapon, which are economically manufactured and Versatile and comfortable to use.
[Explicación de Ia invención[Explanation of the invention
In order to provide a solution to the problems raised, an accessory sight device for a firearm is known, of which they comprise a flexible tube provided inside with a beam of optical fibers or other means of transmission of image, adapted to receive the image of a target at its distal end and to pass said received image to its proximal end in which a formation system of! images that enable the shooter to see the target through the device; and means for fixing the flexible tube to the weapon; the imaging system being fixed to a support element firmly attached to the head of the shooter, such as a helmet or lenses, and said imaging system being facing an eye of the shooter.
In essence, the sight device object of the present invention is characterized in that the fixing means are adapted to fix the flexible tube removably to the weapon, preferably in the most distal part and near the end of the barrel; and because the flexible tube is provided with sufficient flexibility to be curved to overcome a visual obstacle between the shooter and the target, when the flexible tube is coupled to the weapon, or through a passage whose cross section is of dimensions essentially larger than those of the cross section of the flexible tube, when the flexible tube is decoupled from the weapon being used as a boroscopy, so that the cross section of the flexible tube is not excessively deformed, thus allowing the image of The target is transmitted through the image transmission means precisely from the distal end to the proximal of the flexible tube. The present device allows the shooter to use his natural eye to aim freely and use the normally unused eye with the aforementioned viewing device. Therefore, it is achieved that in a simple and economical way, the device There is a double functionality that makes it even more versatile.
According to another feature of the invention, the flexible tube comprises a section provided with a winding wound of a material with sufficient rigidity so that the section can be set at will, maintaining itself with multiple curvatures when folded, for use in explorations such as borescope when uncoupled from the weapon. According to a preferred embodiment, the wound winding is made of wire, of the gooseneck type.
The viewer device according to the invention is further characterized in that the imaging system is an eyepiece. Additionally, said eyepiece is characterized in that it comprises at least one lens provided with a reticle and because at the proximal end of the flexible tube a regulation system is provided comprising a cylindrical support coupled to the end of the flexible tube, a metal bushing in the terminating the image transmission means, arranged coaxially and internally to the cylindrical support, and threaded elements that radially pass through the support through threaded holes, oriented perpendicularly to each other, the ends of the threaded elements being in contact with the side walls of the metal bushing so that when screwing the threaded elements the bushing is adjusted according to the horizontal and vertical plane of the lens reticle. This system saves weight and money with respect to the use of a system similar to those currently known for optical purposes.
Another notable aspect of the viewer device object of the invention is that the fixing means comprise a metal ring provided with a clamping surface and disposed in the part closest to the end of the barrel.
The sight device is characterized in that the flexible tube comprises at its distal end a fisheye lens. Thanks to these last two characteristics, a greater field of vision is achieved when using the device.
According to another feature, the flexible tube comprises, in addition to the image transmission means, a beam of illumination fibers that at its proximal end is connected to a portable light source, while at its distal end it comprises a lens to project the light and shine with it.
According to another characteristic, the imaging system fixed to the support element is retractable. In this way, the shooter can dispense with the device without causing the device any discomfort.
In addition, the accessory sight device for weapons equipped with a strap It comprises guide means distributed by said belt through which the flexible tube is kept collected. In this way it is possible to reduce the hanging elements and the risk that they will get caught with objects while using the weapon.

Fig. 4 is another perspective and sectioned view of a detail of the distal end of the flexible tube of the device.
Detailed description of the drawings Fig. 1 shows a preferred embodiment of the device 1, coupled to a weapon 2 carried by a handle 7. It is appreciated that the device 1 is provided with a flexible tube 3 coupled at its distal end ai weapon 2 by means of fixing means 8. Specifically, the fixing means 8 comprise a metal ring 19, which hugs the barrel of the weapon 2 and is provided with a fastening surface 20 adapted for the removable fastening of the distal end of the flexible tube 3. Said fixing means 8 are arranged in the part closest to the end of the barrel of the weapon 2, so that the weapon does not interfere with the visual field of the device 1, and adopt two positions, one on each side of the gun barrel 2, according to the preferences of the shooter 7. Obviously, it is contemplated that said fixing means 8 have other configurations to that described, as in the case of using the device 1 in short arms, where and known systems could be used for fastening laser pointers, diopters and other systems.
On the other hand, the flexible tube 3 is also coupled at its proximal end to an imaging system 6. Said imaging system genes 6 is fixed to a helmet 9 and arranged in front of the shooter 7, so that it points the weapon 2 with the eye with which it usually does and uses the other to use the device 1. If necessary, the formation system of Images 6 can be removed using a retractable system, not shown. A beam of optical fibers 4, shown below, is arranged along the flexible tube 3, through which the visual information captured by the distal end of the flexible tube 3 is conveyed to its proximal end. In addition, the flexible tube 3 is provided with sufficient flexibility to be able to be curved in order to overcome a visual obstacle between the handle 7 and the target 5. In this way, the handle 7 represented in Fig. 1 could point to the target 5 just by moving the weapon 2, without changing position. It is evident that the said optical fibers 4 could be replaced by other image transmission systems, such as electronic systems equipped with digital cameras.
In Fig. 2 the device 1 is shown being used as a borescope, when the flexible tube 3 is uncoupled from the weapon 2. The flexible tube 3 is specially adapted for this purpose, since its distal end can reach hard to reach areas or where it is advantageous to access discreetly, such as observing above a wall or through a hole 30 whose cross section is slightly larger than those of the cross section of the flexible tube 3, as shown in Fig. 2. For this, as an additional feature, the flexible tube 3 comprises a section 10 provided with a wound winding 11 of a material with sufficient rigidity, such as steel, so that the section 10 is orientable at will, maintaining itself with multiple curvatures when folded, as a gooseneck, as shown in Fig. 2, for use in explorations such as a borescope when uncoupled from the weapon 2. Therefore, the Flexible tube material 3 is preferably robust and water resistant.
