Abstract

The invention relates to a method for relating a transport service request emitted by a passenger with an offer for such a service emitted by a driver equipped with: a recording device for recording the geographic positions of a route and comprising manually actuated or voice actuated means for triggering the recording of at least one specific geographic point; a mobile communication device. The method involves using a supervision center including a calculator connected to data transmission means and to a subscriber database in which each subscriber is identified, said method being characterized in that it essentially comprises the step of recording, by the driver, his reference routes into the database, said step comprising for the driver: installing and activating the recording device in his vehicle; executing the reference routes in the car while the recording device records the coordinates of the points along said route; actuating said means for triggering the recording of at least one specific geographic point when the driver is in the vicinity of a location that may include at least one temporary stop representing a potential meeting point.

Description

METHOD FOR RELATING A TRANSPORT SERVICE REQUEST ISSUED BY A PASSENGER WITH AN OFFER OF SUCH SERVICE ISSUED BY A DRIVER.

The present invention relates to a method and a device for connecting a supply of transport service with a request for this service. It applies in particular, but not exclusively, to the linking of an offer of automobile transport service with a corresponding service request.

We know that automobile traffic, particularly in urban areas, is difficult because:

• Increased traffic flows, resulting in slowdowns and traffic jams resulting in delays and longer travel times;

• the rise in the price of petroleum products, which increases the cost of journeys;

• parking difficulties.

In addition, the increase in car traffic also has the disadvantage of increasing air pollution, which causes more and more health problems whose treatment costs are generally borne by the community.

It is also known that most cars traveling on commuting are only occupied by one person: the driver, leaving at least three unoccupied seats. In order to solve this problem, motorists have been proposed to carry out "carpooling", the principle of which is to put in contact drivers and passengers wishing to make at least part of the same journey at identical times, the objective being to optimize the level of occupancy of motor vehicles and thus reduce traffic.

Nevertheless, this solution never had the expected success, in particular for the following reasons:

• drivers are reluctant to take unknown passengers for fear of aggression;

• the difficulty of getting in touch with a driver and at least one passenger wishing to do at least part of the same journey at identical times.

To try to solve these problems, it has also been proposed carpooling methods, such as for example that which is described in the patent application WO 01/25980 filed by Mr. BRAUNWALD. This method involves a supervision center comprising a computer connected to data transmission means and a subscriber database in which each subscriber is identified, this method comprising in particular the following steps:

• the memorization during their subscription in the database of information concerning carriers wishing to take passengers on one of their routes;

• the transmission by a traveler to the calculator of a transport request including the identification of a place of departure and a place of arrival and a desired date of care; • the constitution by the calculator of a list of carriers subscribers, likely to meet the transport request received according to the desired date of care;

• the determination from the said list of the carrier supporting the transport request;

• the communication of the traveler with the first carrier found to set a place and date of appointment with the latter;

• during the meeting between the determined carrier and the traveler, the determination of the distance traveled and the price of the journey to be paid by the traveler to the carrier according to the places of departure and destination of the request for carriage; characterized in that:

• each subscriber is associated with at least one route of a route;

• the carrier database contains a list of usual routes associated with time slots with a direction of travel of these routes;

The constitution of the list of subscribed carriers, capable of satisfying the transport request received, is obtained by using the routes associated with time slots contained in the database;

• the periodic localization of the on-board telephone transmitter of each carrier of the list, the determination by the calculator of the position of the carrier with respect to the planned meeting point between the carrier and the traveler; • during the determination stage, the call by the supervisory center of the carriers listed on the list that are equipped with mobile phones until it finds a carrier that agrees to meet the transport request. Nevertheless, this process assumes that a list of meeting points and routes is pre-established and provided to carriers and travelers subscribers gold, the terms of the constitution of this list are not specified.

The invention therefore more particularly aims to eliminate this disadvantage by proposing a method for connecting a request for a transport service issued by a passenger with an offer of such a service issued by an equipped driver:

• a recording device for recording the geographical positions of a route and which comprises a means manually or vocally operable, which triggers a recording of at least one specific geographical point;

• a mobile communication device; this method involving a supervision center comprising a computer connected to data transmission means and a subscriber database in which each subscriber is identified, said method being characterized in that it comprises the following successive steps:

• memorizing during their subscription, in the database, using the calculator, information concerning: o drivers wishing to take passengers on one of their routes; o passengers wanting to be picked up by drivers on one of their routes;

• the transmission by the logistics manager depending on the supervision center of the recording device to the driver;

• the driver's recording of his reference routes in the database, this step being for the driver to: o install and activate the recording device in his vehicle; o Carrying its reference routes by car, the recording device recording the coordinates of the route points of this route; o operating said means for triggering a recording of at least one specific geographical point when the driver is near a location that may include at least one temporary stop constituting a potential meeting point;

• the connection of the recording device to a computer terminal; • establishing a link between this computer terminal and the supervision center;

• the transmission of the recording data contained in the recording device to the supervision center, these data being stored in said database; • the connection of a passenger to the supervision center by means of a computer terminal and the indication of its reference routes which are stored in said database;

• the planning by the driver and / or the passenger of each of his reference routes, the driver and / or the passenger specifying for each reference route the scheduled and / or desired departure dates and times of these routes;

• the transmission to the computer by a passenger of a transport request including the identification of a place of departure and a place of arrival and a desired date and schedule of care; • the determination by the computer, based on the information included in the database, of at least one driver likely to perform the desired route by the passenger, dates and times indicated;

• communication by the supervisory center to the passenger of a place and a schedule of support by a driver; • the management of the passenger by the driver and the completion of the desired route;

• the automatic determination of the distance traveled and the price of the journey to be paid by the passenger to the driver according to the places of departure and destination of the transport request.

In this way, the driver records the coordinates of the route points of his routes as well as those of each temporary stop constituting a potential meeting point on a given route. The list of these waypoints and stops being communicated to the supervision center where they can, according to an alternative embodiment of the invention, be treated including a comparison of their characteristics with those of temporary stops already present in the database, which makes it possible to constantly enrich the database of relevant routes and potential meeting points, thus optimizing the chances of being able to match an offer with a corresponding request transport.

Advantageously, the prior registration by the driver of his reference routes makes it possible to dispense with the setting up of a connection between the passenger and the driver prior to the date of actual takeover. Indeed, the routes and schedules of these being recorded in the database of the supervision center, it has only to transmit to the passenger that information which is considered reliable, the mediation being thus performed "blindly". The supervision center can obviously control, particularly by means of the geolocation principle, the actual departure of the driver, who has been warned before departure of the need to take charge of it.

Advantageously, at the moment when the driver signals his departure to the supervision center, the latter sends him the geographical coordinates of the points. which will be stored in the memory of the mobile communication device of the driver in which a specific application has been previously transmitted by the supervision center and recorded. This application will thus warn the driver, preferably by means of audible warnings such as successive beeps, the successive approach of different points of care.

Advantageously, according to an alternative embodiment of the method according to the invention, the path of the driver is the subject of a geolocation, preferably based on the principle of GPS ("Global Positioning System"). In this way, it is possible at any time or at least at regular intervals, to determine the position of the driver's vehicle, which allows the supervision center to determine in particular its proximity to a meeting point and therefore to be able to communicate (or confirm the communication) to the passenger the schedule of support by the driver.

According to an alternative embodiment, the method according to the invention can be put into practice in a "planned" or "unplanned" manner. In the case of implementation according to a "planned" practice, the trajectories are usual and typically correspond to daily commutes between home and work, these journeys corresponding to routes stored in the database of the supervision center. On the other hand, in the case of implementation according to an "unplanned" practice, the journeys made are not usual and correspond to a route stored in a volatile manner in the database of the supervision center very shortly before effective departure.

According to another embodiment of the invention, the step of association by the computer of a driver and a passenger can be performed according to several types of mode, namely including: • a "standard" mode which allows a passenger to choose a driver from the list of drivers who can satisfy his request, and proposed to it by the supervisory center, this mode being activatable as part of a "planned"practice;

• an "automatic" mode where the passenger no longer chooses his driver, the supervisory center automatically associating the passenger with a driver who can meet his demand, this mode being activatable as part of a "planned" practice;

• a "regular" mode that requires no manipulation of the passenger, the latter who has only to go to the place of care as soon as he is notified of the departure of his usual driver, this mode being activated in the framework of a "planned" practice;

• a "feed" mode where offers and requests for transport are made known to users of the service as soon as they are generated and do not correspond to usual routes, this mode being activatable within the framework of an "unplanned" practice .

Finally, according to an alternative embodiment of the invention, the step of combining a passenger and a driver can be carried out according to a certain degree of priority: there can thus exist priority sessions where requests having some features are prioritized, and non-priority sessions.

Advantageously, the supervision center can create relational networks that includes a certain number of members, ideally between three to six drivers per passenger, regularly performing at least part of the same route at identical time slots, the essential criterion of constitution such relational networks being the common destination. In this way, the creation of these networks makes it possible to optimize the chances of satisfying the requests of the members in addition, it also allows people with affinities to meet frequently to carry out a usual course. Advantageously, according to an alternative embodiment, the method according to the invention may have the object of relating a request for a transport service relating to an object, such as a package, to an offer of such a service. issued by a driver.

FIG. 1 represents a supervision center 1 implemented by the method according to the invention. This supervision center 1 comprises a computer 2, and connected to it:

A radio or telephone transmitter 3, preferably capable of receiving a large quantity of digital messages; A mass memory 4 in which is stored a database containing all the information relating to the subscribed drivers;

• a keyboard 5 and a screen 6.

According to the method according to the invention, all persons, called later "driver", wishing to offer a place in their vehicle, must first subscribe to the supervision center 1. However, in most cases, each subscriber can be indifferently driver or passenger.

During this subscription step, each driver must in particular provide the supervisory center 1 with information enabling it to be identified. such as, for example, his identity, his personal and professional address, his telephone number, etc.

Preferably, the transmission of this information is done by connecting to a site accessible via the Internet and / or Intranet and / or Extranet.

After subscribing, the driver receives in particular from the manager of the supervision center 1 a recording device 7 and a membership card which can be material or digital.

As shown in FIG. 2, the recording device 7 may comprise:

• means (not shown) for its start and stop which is preferably constituted by an On / Off switch; A sound or light means (not shown) that can be constituted by an LED that can take two colors, preferably the green and red color;

This recording device 7 may also comprise a display, for example a liquid crystal display, which makes it possible to display the geographical coordinates of the location where the recording device 7 is located when a recording is triggered.

The driver can then proceed to the registration of his reference routes, this step consisting for the driver to: • install the recording device 7 in his vehicle; • activate the means allowing it to start, the LED then displaying a green color;

• Carry out its reference routes, the recording device 7 proceeding to the regular registration of the coordinates of the geographical points of the course;

Of course, the driver can repeat this step several times to make several successive recordings.

When the recordings are complete, the driver can connect the recording device 7 to a computer terminal by means of said communication port and establish a connection between this computer terminal and the supervision center.

Said connection may be effected for example by connection to a website or by the automatic sending of an electronic message comprising as an attached file the registration data contained in the recording device 7. The recording data contained in the recording device 7 are then transmitted to the supervision center, these data being stored in said database 4.

Advantageously, during the subscription step, a member number can be assigned to the driver, this number can be stored in the memory 8 of the recording device 7. In this way, during the establishment of the link with the supervision center 1, the latter identifies by the automatic sending of the membership number, the identity of the driver.

According to an alternative embodiment of the invention, the recording device 7 may comprise communication means (not shown) allowing direct transmission of the recorded data to the supervision center 1 without using a computer terminal.

Advantageously, a personalized environment can be created on the website to which the recording device 7 is connected, which allows the driver to consult, for example in graphical form, his recordings, his recorded routes that can be represented on a map where the potential stopping points are highlighted.

A passenger can connect to the supervision center 1 by means of a computer or telephone terminal and indicate the address of his departure and arrival points of his reference routes as well as his time slots that are stored in said database. data 4.

In this way, the member can find on his personal space his records, he can then, for example, assign to each route a specific name such as for example "Home - Office" or keep the identifier assigned automatically by the calculator 2 to each route.

According to an alternative embodiment of the invention, during the registration step, the participant may not proceed to the registration of the milestones. Thus, the member can communicate to the supervision center 1, for each route, said milestones, by accessing his said personalized environment and proceeding preferentially in the following manner:

• the member accesses a graphical interface that includes a digital map including each route;

The follower, for example by using the pointer of his mouse, makes successive zooms on this map in order to select the breakpoints constituting said milestones;

• the member then proceeds to the selection of said breakpoints which are then recorded in the database 4.

Advantageously, the transmitted recorded data can be automatically processed by the supervision center 1, this processing consisting in particular of a comparison of the data relating to the temporary stops with those of the temporary stops already present in the database. 4. The purpose of this comparison is to determine the existence in the database of stopping points that are identical or similar to those newly communicated for the same route.

In the case where an identical breakpoint is found in the database 4, the breakpoints are "merged", the newly communicated breakpoint being assigned the name of the identical breakpoint already registered. On the other hand, in the case where no identical breakpoint is found in the database 4, the participant is invited to give him a denomination. Subsequently, during a first mediation from the stopping point never used, the passenger can validate for example with his mobile phone its support, allowing to geolocate. If the supervisory center 1 detects that the coordinates transmitted do not correspond to those which were communicated to it during the transmission of the registration data, it signals an indeterminacy to the driver. Following this step of recording and processing data, the driver and / or the passenger can plan each of his reference routes, the driver and / or the passenger thus specifying the scheduled departure dates and times and / or desired for each of these routes (the member may indicate time slots cut for example by quarter of an hour in the morning and by three quarters of an hour in the evening).

Subsequently, a passenger can transmit to the calculator 2 a transport request including the identification of a departure point and a destination and a desired date and time of care, this communication can preferentially by means of a telephone call or a connection to a dedicated website. According to the information included in the database 4, the computer 2 determines the identity of at least one driver likely to perform the desired route by the passenger, dates and times indicated. Thus, the supervision center 1 can communicate to the passenger a place and a schedule of support by a driver.

Preferably, the passenger is in possession of a mobile terminal such as a mobile phone in order to communicate with the supervisory center 1. In this way, the supervision center 1 can communicate to the passenger a place and a schedule. supported by a driver, including SMS ("Short Message Serviced") instead of support, the driver can be warned in the same way, before leaving, the need to take a decision in charge at the specified place.

The passenger is then taken care of by the driver and the desired course is done.

In general, offers and requests for matching satisfy the following four criteria: • a common time slot;

• the driver's route serves the pick-up point requested by the passenger;

• this pick-up point is within walking distance for the passenger; • the destination address of the passenger is within walking distance of the drop-off point.

Preferably, the path of the driver's vehicle is subject to a geolocation, based for example on the principle of GPS ("Global Positioning System") or triangulation. In this way, it is possible at any time, or at least at regular intervals, to determine the position of the driver's vehicle. Thus, the supervision center 1 can determine the location of said vehicle and its proximity to a place of care, which allows it to communicate to the passenger the estimated time of completion of the care. . ^' •. ^' . .. ^{'• •''}

Finally, it is proceeded to the automatic determination of the distance traveled and the price of the journey that must pay the passenger to the driver based on the places of departure and destination of the route followed by the request for transport. This determination of the journey price can be made: • by using the geolocation data of the vehicle which makes it possible to precisely determine the distance traveled to carry out the desired route, and thus the price of the journey by applying a kilometric rate; or preferentially

• taking as a reference the characteristics of the corresponding itinerary recorded in the database during the subscription, which makes it possible to calculate the price of the journey by applying a kilometer rate, the possible detours not being taken into consideration.

According to an alternative embodiment of the invention, the method according to the invention can be put into practice in a "planned" or "unplanned" manner.

Planned practices which are practices where the journeys made are usual and typically correspond to daily commute to work, these journeys corresponding to routes stored in the database 2 of the supervision center 1.

On the other hand, in the case of implementation according to an "unplanned" practice, the journeys made are not usual and correspond to a route stored in a volatile manner in the database 4 of the supervision center 1. time before the actual departure. Unplanned practices can be broken down into three sub-types of practices:

• the unplanned practice "with immediate effect" which corresponds to the case where an offer or a request for transport is transmitted to the supervision center 1 one hour before the desired effective departure;

In addition, these practices must be combined with different embodiments of the driver and passenger pairing stage of the calculator 2, namely:

• a "flow" mode where offers and requests for transport are brought to the attention of users of the service as soon as they are generated and do not correspond to usual journeys, this mode being activatable within the framework of an "unplanned" practice.

Advantageously, the supervisory center 1 can create relational networks that includes a certain number of members, ideally between three to six drivers per passenger, regularly performing at least part of the same journey at identical time slots, the essential criterion of building such relational networks being the common destination.

Preferably, any new member is integrated in a relational network, each of the members having the ability to view, for example by connecting to its personalized environment of a dedicated website, the names of the members of the network to which it belongs.

In addition, in the event that one of the members of the network with which a member has traveled does not suit him, he can indicate this information to the supervision center 1 so that this member is assigned to another network at the next reorganization of the networks.

Furthermore, according to an alternative embodiment of the invention, the step of combining a passenger and a driver can be carried out according to a certain degree of priority, it can thus exist:

• priority sessions that are for example reserved for members of the same network relational as part of a planned practice;

• non-priority sessions in other cases.

More precisely, during a priority session, priority is given to offers and requests for linking from the same relational network and satisfying the four basic criteria described above. In the context of a non-priority session, applicants can see all the offers from their relational network or not.

According to an alternative embodiment of the invention, during the realization of a route where at least one passenger is supported, the supervision center 1 can inform the driver or one of the passengers of the existence of a slowdown or congestion on its route, this information can be transmitted in particular by means of a telephone call or an SMS addressed preferentially to the passenger.

In case of agreement of all the members present in the vehicle, one of said passengers can connect to the supervision center 1 by means for example of his mobile phone and request the activation of the "geolocation" and "guidance" option. ". In this way, subsequently, the supervision center 1 can transmit guidance instructions to this passenger, preferably by SMS, the position of the vehicle can be determined in particular by means of GPS technology or by means of the triangulation process.

According to an alternative embodiment of the invention, each adherent may be assigned a recordable digital identifier in a non-volatile memory of his mobile communication device in which a specific application transmitted by the supervision center 1 which has been recorded has been recorded.

Finally, according to another embodiment of the invention, a parking space may be assigned to the registered route. Advantageously, the implementation of the method according to this alternative embodiment of the invention makes it possible in particular to provide a response to the increasing flow of package transport resulting from online sales on the Internet. Thus, the implementation of the method according to this alternative embodiment of the invention allows:

• make the movement of vehicles making regular trips between two transit boxes profitable; • to guarantee parcel delivery times equal to or even lower than those currently available for traditional deliveries by professional carriers;

• reduce delivery costs;

• offer reliability, traceability, while remedying the possible failures of parcel deliveries thanks in particular to the stages of auto

- identification by means of digital identifiers or RFID cards.

In this case, the transport of said package is carried out by the implementation of the following steps:

• the shipper submits a request for the transport of the parcel to a central system 1, specifying in particular its requirements regarding the delivery time; the central system 1 may be the supervisory center mentioned above or be specifically dedicated to the transport of parcels; in addition, the sender can submit his request by connecting to a specific website;

• the central system 1 performs a search using a calculator or an engine middleman to offer the sender an offer of handling the package and indicating the characteristics of this offer; these characteristics may include: o the number and address of a departure transit box; o the number and address of an arrival transit box; o the deadline for the parcel to be deposited by the sender in the departure transit box; o the time limit for the removal of the package by the driver in the departure transit box; o the expiry date of the offer; o an estimate of the cost of the service;

• the validation of the offer by the sender, otherwise the process ends at this stage; • the assignment by the central system 1 of the transport of the package to a driver whose journey is convenient and the issuance of a ticket assignment to the driver, this assignment card containing all the information necessary for the delivery of the package; "Communication by the central system 1 to the transit boxes of the essential information relating to the package;

These parcel boxes make it possible, thanks to the automaton of storage and return of parcels, to deposit packages, to store them, and to return them when the driver or the final consignee comes to the parcel box, guaranteeing a package processing time generating a driver's downtime as short as possible.

In addition, preferably, each RFID card is placed in a specific compartment of an envelope comprising another compartment in which is disposed an identification voucher whose identification number is reproduced preferentially handwritten on one of the outer faces of the envelope.

Advantageously, when the driver has not recovered the package in the departure transit box before the agreed date and time, the central system 1 reassigns the package to another driver and informs the recipient, preferably by means of a minimessage, a probable delivery delay. The information according to which the identification of the persons has proceeded correctly or not is of course transmitted to the central system 1 by the transit boxes or the mobile communication devices.

Following the issuance of the assignment voucher for the driver, the central system 1 may communicate to the transit boxes concerned: • the identification number assigned to the parcel; • possibly the registration number of the vehicle used by the driver;

Possibly the identification code of the RFID card that should be verified when reading said card by said reading device; and optionally, in the case of a secure procedure, the code identifying RFID cards of the persons specifically authorized to access the transit boxes;

• in the context of an unsecured mode, thanks to the license plate of the driver's vehicle, and to the identification number included in particular in the identification document sent to the recipient by the central system (1).

17. Method according to one of claims 11 and 12, characterized in that in the case where the transit boxes of departure and / or arrival are not used, the identification of the different people at the handing over of the hand in hand of the parcel, is carried out:

• by assigning to each member a digital identifier code recordable in a non-volatile memory of his mobile communication device in which a specific application of the aforementioned type transmitted by the supervision center (1) has been recorded, which will also transmit to the sender and to the driver respectively the correct numerical identifier of the driver and the addressee; in this way, the assumption or removal of the package can be done only after the mobile communication devices of the sender and the driver (or the driver and the recipient) have exchanged their respective numerical identifier;

• the attribution to each actor of the process of delivery (sender, driver, recipient) of a RFID card including a code specific identifier readable by a mobile communication device comprising an appropriate reading device.

18. Method according to one of claims 9 and 10 and 13 to 16, characterized in that following the issuance of the assignment ticket to the driver, the central system (1) communicates with the boxes of concerned:

• the identification number assigned to the package;

• the registration number of the vehicle used by the driver; • the identifier code of the RFID card that should be verified when reading said card by said reading device; as well as, in the case of a secure procedure, the code identifying RFID cards of the persons specifically authorized to access the transit boxes;

• the expiry date from which the package will no longer be available in the transit transit box, and can no longer be supported; the information that the package has not been removed before the said expiry date is transmitted to the central system (1) by the transit box concerned.

19. Method according to one of claims 9 and 10, 13 to 16 and 18, characterized in that when the deposit of the package by the sender takes place in a departure transit box, the procedure of filing the package s does the following:

• the sender goes to the address of the transit box of departure appearing on the voucher;

• the sender enters using the keypad the identification code on the identification card or presents the barcode with the identification code in front of the barcode reader of the housing in question; • if the identification code corresponds to the identification code previously transmitted by the central system (1) to the transit box, the encoder proceeds to the encoding of the RFID card using the identification code;

• making available to the sender the RFID card thus encoded preferably by means of a specific slot; • insertion by the sender of the RFID card in the specific compartment of the aforesaid envelope;

• the presentation by the sender of the parcel in front of the delivery lock;

Reading by said reading device of the transponder chip included on the RFID card and the command of the opening of said delivery lock in order to allow the sender to deposit the parcel there;

20. Method according to one of claims 11 and 12 and 17, characterized in that when the deposit of the parcel by the sender is effected by delivery of said package to the driver's hand by hand, the sender is returns to the agreed date and time, at the address of the predetermined appointment by the central system (1), to deliver the package to the driver, the sender recognizing the driver through the characteristics of his vehicle (brand, color, registration number) on the consignment note, the reciprocal authentication of the sender and the driver can be optimized in the following way: • the driver verifies that the identification number appearing on the voucher the assignment transmitted to him is identical to that appearing on the bill of lading sent to him by the sender and to that reproduced on said envelope; the driver may, in case of correspondence of the identification numbers, take charge of the parcel after having signed the said packing slip; the sender informs the recipient of this support; and or • the sender photographs the license plate of the driver's vehicle on arrival at the place of rendezvous by means of a photographic camera, then transmits the photograph to the central system (1) for analysis, the system central (1) can thus confirm that it is the right vehicle and inform the recipient of the location of the package; and or

• the sender and the driver identify themselves by means of their mobile communication device in which a specific application transmitted by the central system (1) and a digital identifier have been registered.

21. Method according to one of claims 9 and 10, 13 to 16 and 18 and 19, characterized in that when the withdrawal or the deposit of the package by the driver is carried out in a transit box of departure or of arrival, the procedure of withdrawal or deposit of the parcel is carried out as follows:

• reading by the graphics recognition device of the information captured by said video sensor license plates of vehicles approaching the corresponding transit box;

• in the case where the number read corresponds to a package to be removed or deposited, the indication through a display means disposed at the top of the transit box of said registration number, to allow the driver to be certain that it is indeed the right transit box;

• the opening of the lock which is arranged to be in front of the window of the driver's door to allow the latter to take or deposit the package without having to get off his vehicle; when the package is deposited by the driver in the arrival transit box, the parcel is identified by means of the attached RFID card; if the parcel is correctly identified, the information that the parcel has been deposited by the driver in the arrival transit box is transmitted to the central system (1) which then informs the recipient; the parcel may be withdrawn by the addressee as soon as he is informed that the driver has deposited the parcel in the transit transit box; in this case, he appears in front of the arrival transit box with his packing slip and picks up his parcel after having entered the identification code appearing on the identification form or presented the barcode containing said code identification in front of the bar code reader of the housing in question.

22. A method according to one of claims 11 and 12 and 17 and 20, characterized in that when the deposit of the package by the driver is effected by delivery of said package to the recipient of the hand by hand, the recipient is returns at the agreed date and time, to the predetermined rendezvous address by the central system (1), to retrieve the parcel, the parcel recognizing the driver by the characteristics of his vehicle (brand, color, registration number) on the packing slip; moreover, the mutual authentication of the driver and the recipient can be optimized as follows: • the recipient verifies that the identification number on the voucher that was sent to him is identical to that reproduced on the envelope ; the addressee can, in case of correspondence of the identification numbers, take possession of the parcel after having signed said voucher; and / or • the recipient and the driver self-identify by means of their mobile communication device in which a specific application transmitted by the central system 1 and a digital identifier have been recorded.

23. Method according to one of claims 9 and 10, 13 to 16 and 18, 19 and 21, characterized in that each event of deposit or withdrawal of packages made in a transfer box is subject to a transmission by the concerned transit box to the central system (1), the transmission sessions being clocked according to a time interval separating each session or according to the number of events that have occurred since the last session.

24. Device for implementing the method according to claim 1, characterized in that the supervision center (1) comprises a computer (2), and connected thereto:

• a transmitter (3) radio or telephone;

A mass memory (4) in which is stored a database containing all the information relating to the subscribed conductors;

• a keyboard (5) and a screen (6).

25. Device according to claim 24, characterized in that the recording device (7) comprises:

• means for starting and stopping which is preferably constituted by an On / Off switch;

A sound or light means that can be constituted by an LED that can take two colors, preferably the green and red color;

A non-volatile memory (8);

Means (11) for determining geographic coordinates of a location;

• a communication port; A processing unit (9);

• a buzzer (10); • means (12) operable manually or vocally, which triggers a recording of at least one specific geographical point called "milestone"; this means in the case where it is manually operable may consist of a pusher, this pusher being able to be: o a very short pulse which allows:

"to activate the means (11) for determining the geographical coordinates of the specific location where the recording device (7) is located, these geographical coordinates being stored in the memory (8);

"that the LED displays a red color, a new short pulse stops the recording, the LED displays a green color o a continuous depression that allows:

"activating the means (11) for determining the geographical coordinates of the specific section of the path may include several stopping points, these geographical coordinates being stored in the memory (8);

"to emit a sound signal that may consist of a succession of beeps;

26. Device for implementing the method according to claim 10, characterized in that the transit boxes are constituted by devices comprising in a basic configuration: At least one audio and / or video sensor, such as a camera, for capturing information from the outside environment;

A device for graphically recognizing the information inputted by said video sensor; • a machine for storing and returning parcels;

Display means such as a liquid crystal display;

• a means to print proof of deposit;

A device for providing envelopes intended to be stuck on the packages, and in which cards can be placed comprising an RFID-type transponder chip;

A card dispenser comprising an RFID transponder chip;

• an RFID card encoder;

• a port allowing a wireless communication with the mobile terminals of the couriers or more generally with mobile phones, this port can be a Bluetooth port;

• a barcode reader;

At least one low-power transponder remote reading device comprising receiving means coupled to a reception antenna for remotely sensing the signal transmitted by the transponder when it is placed in the vicinity of the transponder;

• at least one delivery lock allowing access to the packages;

At least one human-machine interface means, such as an input keyboard.
