Abstract
The invention relates to a method for the early diagnosis of Parkinson's disease in individuals, long before the damage becomes irreversible. The invention is based on the study of the formation of dopamine quinones and the detection, by cyclic voltamperometry, of oxidised metabolites of the dopamine in the plasma of patients showing very early symptoms. The detection can be carried out by electrochemical or immunochemical methods.
